Rosehill Construction continues to blossom

10 Nov , 2022

Rosehill Construction Ltd in Ballinteer, Dublin 16 has been providing exceptional building services since 1995. Specialising in new builds, commercial builds, extensions, renovations and attic conversions, the family-run business will make your dream home or commercial project a reality.

Established by Anthony O’Hara, Rosehill Construction is now run by his sons David and Ronan who came on board in 2007. Both carpenters by trade, the brothers employ 10 people directly and numerous others on a sub-contract basis. Ronan heads up the carpentry division of the company which was formed in 2018 and specialises in first and second fixing carpentry fitouts.

Rosehill Construction prides itself on being one of Dublin’s leading construction firms which offers the highest standard of building works. The company has built up a highly-experienced team of professionals from tradesmen and suppliers to architects and designers, and boasts an extensive portfolio of quality contracts across all sectors.

Superior workmanship, value-for-money and a commitment to working closely with clients are the hallmarks of Rosehill Construction. Health & Safety is at the core of the family business, and never more so than in this post Covid-19 era. From concept to completion, David, Ronan and their team are with you every step of the way, ensuring that your new project is designed and built to your specific needs, and that there are no hidden or extra costs involved. All of their work complies with the highest industry regulations.

Whether your next project is a new build, extension or renovation, Rosehill Construction’s one-stop-shop approach will ensure that both the design and building processes are smooth, comfortable and hassle-free. The South Dublin contractor’s reputation for quality construction and ability to complete projects on time and within the agreed budget is borne out by the high volume of repeat business and referrals it receives from architects, designers and scores of satisfied customers.

“We believe the cornerstone of our success lies in the understanding we have of our clients’ requirements for safety, design, workmanship, on-time delivery and value-for-money,” David says.

“We’ve earned an outstanding reputation within the industry. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising. We have lots of enquiries in our inbox which is keeping us busy.

“It would be remiss of me not to mention our top-class building and carpentry crews. Our two site supervisors, Sergiu Danuta and Sergiu Coltiniuc, lead by example. Everyone has a job to do and they’re supported by the same tried and trusted sub-contractors. It’s a real team effort.”

The Homebond, SEAI and HSA certified contractor enjoys an excellent working relationship with sub-contractors, architects, designers and suppliers alike. AOS Electrical in Templeogue – where the O’Hara’s hail from – are the company’s longest-standing sub-contractor. Another regular subbie is Maple Grange Plastering. Chadwicks (Robin Hood Industrial Estate) and CORE KCR (Kimmage) are Rosehill Construction’s main suppliers. Architects, designers and quantity surveyors include Patrick Lynch of House 7 Architects, PK O’Brien & Associates, Joe Fallon Design, Fergus Flanagan Architects and Adrian Hill Architects.

“By employing highly-skilled people, working closely with our architects and designers, and using only the very best building products, we’re able to deliver the highest quality construction to our clients,” David adds.

Rosehill Construction’s projects typically range from €150,000 to €400,000. The builder is currently carrying out extensions / full refurbishments to dwellings in Walkinstown and Knocklyon for PK O’Brien & Associates and Fergus Flanagan Architects respectively. It recently completed similar projects in Terenure for Joe Fallon Design and Adrian Hill Architects.

As the cost of building materials continue to sky-rocket, David stresses the importance of keeping customers abreast of ever-changing prices.

“My father does all the pricing for us on the main contracting. While we’ll gladly stand over agreed labour costs for the duration of the build, we cannot stand over material costs in the current climate unfortunately. We’re very transparent and upfront, and will try to stock as much building materials as we can to counter price increases.

“But it all falls back on the client and on how much they’re prepared to spend. We’re constantly flagging them on potential price increases. Every sector is in the same boat. Everything is going up. It all goes back to the war in Ukraine and rising energy costs. As long as energy costs are an issue, things will continue to go up. Hopefully it will plateau sooner rather than later.”

David and Ronan would like to take this opportunity to thank their customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and design teams for their continued support as well as their staff for their hard work, dedication and skill.
