The company provide a full in-house engineering and contracting service for its customers and all work is carried out by qualified and experienced staff.
J. Vaughan Electrical pride themselves on the flexibility, professionalism, experience and safety record they have gained through four different decades of successful trading. This is brought to bear on every project undertaken by JVE.
“The business is a labour of love, we have slowly but steadily increased the workforce and turnover year on year since we started in 1986. A reputation for delivery within programme and on budget has made us the contractor of choice for all our repeat customers”
With highly skilled employees, JVE are committed to exceeding your engineering expectations time after time. They employ the best people, invest heavily in their training and education and they ensure that the highest standards of health and safety are applied throughout their organisation.
Joseph’s background had always been in electrical work. Upon finishing college, he decided to start his own company and it was the industrial and commercial sectors that he decided to target.
“We’ve done many high-profile projects such as the Acute Psychiatric Unit in Beaumont Hospital, as well as the APU in Drogheda Hospital. We do a lot of work generally in the hospitals. We are currently working in Portlaoise, Tallaght, St. James’, Blackrock Clinic, The Rotunda and Temple Street hospitals. We are familiar to the Technical Service Departments in most of the large hospitals”.
“Another sector where we are strong is the Conservation / Heritage area. We have been involved in numerous high profile projects such as Marshes Library, Castletown House, No’s 8 and 47-49 St. Stephen’s Green. We work closely with conservation architects and provide options and solutions to design teams”.
J.V.E. deal with many of the “Blue chip” companies such as AIG, Hewlett Packard, Google, XL Insurance and Coca Cola. They recently completed the European HQ of Ryanair.
Client Testimonials
Chris Connolly, Head of Purchasing & Facilities at Ryanair, said the following:
“We are delighted that we used the services of J.Vaughan Electrical Contractor for the electrical installation at our new headquarters in Airside Business Park.
“We worked closely with JVE on this project and we were very impressed with how they dealt with matters both complex and simple throughout.
“The project was completed on time and within budget and we now employ JVE to manage the maintenance of all electrical systems within our headquarters.
“We would have no hesitation in recommending JVE to any potential client.”
J.V.E. also acted as main contractor on the building of a new ESB substation and site wide power upgrade at Hewlett Packard’s Santry data centre.
Michael Doherty, ISS Facility Services, on behalf of Hewlett Packard, commented:
“We dealt with JVE on a highly intricate project that required the upmost attention to ensure continuity of existing supplies while large replacement cables were installed in a live working environment.
“J.V.E.’s understanding and implementation of our requirements greatly impressed us. JVE’s attention to detail and to H & S was second to none and we would have no hesitation in recommending them for future projects.”
So what earns JVE these rave reviews on a consistent basis?
“We can do a lot of our own in-house designs and we have qualified surveyors and engineers that can design all of our plans for us, which saves cost,” said Joseph. “Often we provide “turnkey” projects to clients where we act as P.S.C.S. and we bring in our own building subcontractors, decorators, etc… Some clients’ value being able to come to a ‘one stop shop’.”
“Along with that, I think the quality of our work is why our customers tend to choose us first. We have a reputation for the quality of our work and on top of that we’re very reliable when it comes to delivering on schedule, and those are the two things that customers want most. We work in some of the embassies, many hospitals, commercial new builds, the retail sector, the manufacturing sector, conservation projects and refurbishment projects. We have a diverse range of clients which means we are experienced in all fields.”
JVE Clients are offered direct management in-put on all contracts; daily liaison with on-site personnel; a highly qualified, skilled, experienced and motivated workforce as well as a complete ‘Design and Build’ facility.
Health and Safety is also a major priority for the company. JVE are members of ISO9001 and OHSAS18001. The company have a full time Health and Safety co-ordinator and invest significantly and continuously in staff training and qualifications.
Health and Safety is a major concern for any company dealing in electrical work and JVE has an impeccable record in this particular field over the last 30 years.
As for what the future holds for his company, Joseph said that 2016 will be very much about continuing to grow the business and capitalising on the success of recent years.
“I definitely feel there has been a turnaround and I’m very positive on going forward now for the future. We have an increased workload lined up again next year (2016), so hopefully things will continue to improve.”
