Kildare-based siblings launch specialist procurement business for interior designers in Ireland and the UK

23 Feb , 2026

Kildare-based siblings Gillian and Philip Laffan have launched Laffan & Laffan, a specialist procurement and project support business serving interior designers and developers across Ireland and the UK.

The company was established to address a growing challenge within the design industry: while creative studios continue to expand, the operational demands of sourcing, supplier coordination, storage and installation have become increasingly complex.

Laffan & Laffan acts as a dedicated behind-the-scenes partner managing procurement, warehousing and coordinated delivery, ensuring projects are executed smoothly while designers retain full creative control, without increasing overhead or operational burden for design studios

An initial venture by the pair, an online furniture shop launched during the pandemic, revealed the operational gap within the design industry that ultimately led to the formation of Laffan & Laffan.

Philip, an interior designer, previously worked with Wilde Interiors in Naas, where he developed a strong reputation for aesthetic integrity and high-end project execution. Gillian comes from a corporate background with Pfizer, where she worked in operations and finance, building systems and managing large budgets within the manufacturing technology operations.

By merging design knowledge with operational structure, they have developed a refined, end-to-end process that brings clarity and control to procurement and delivery, without adding layers of complexity for design studios.

Laffan & Laffan collaborates with a number of established designers managing high-end residential and commercial projects, including internationally recognised designer Emily Cunnane of InSpace Design.

The company operates with a focused team and a warehouse facility in Co. Kildare, enabling coordinated receiving and installation for residential design projects. Laffan & Laffan works with a curated network of European suppliers, providing coordinated procurement, storage and white-glove installation for residential projects.

Through structured coordination and long-term supplier relationships, the company is introducing a commercially disciplined procurement model.

Gillian Laffan, Operations Director and Co-Founder, says: “Designers don’t want to give up sourcing or creative control. What they need is structured support. Procurement and logistics can quietly consume huge amounts of time and carry financial and reputational risk. We built Laffan & Laffan to manage that complexity professionally, so designers can focus on their clients and their design work.”

Philip Laffan, Creative Director and Co-Founder, says: “Our role is to protect the design. When procurement or logistics are poorly handled, it is the designer’s reputation that suffers. We exist to ensure that the vision created at concept stage is delivered exactly as intended.”
