Celebrating their second birthday this month, Digital Construction Technologies (DCT) Group are encouraging those within the construction industry to commit to training and upskilling of teams within the construction sector.
As part of this commitment Digital Construction Technologies, Irelands leading virtual design and construction consultants, enlisted Irelands leading international mechanical & electrical provider, Designer Group who specialise in turnkey packages for the design, supply and installation of utilities to carry out full on site electrical and mechanical standards training.
Joseph Mady, CEO of Digital Construction Technologies adds “The aim of enlisting Designer Group Training Academy to carry out our internal training programme, is to ensure that we consistently keep our staff up to date on the latest installations of mechanical and electrical services, ensuring we deliver the highest quality virtual designs to our clients and deliver the best technical expertise whilst on site.”
The training provided by Designer Group Training Academy included National Rules for Electrical Installations (IS 10101:2020), IS 3218 – Fire detection and alarm systems, BCAR training and Part M/ Part L Building standards overviews. Practical demonstrations were also a key element of this training to solidify the team’s knowledge on the physical different elements utilised onsite. With new processes evolving across the industry, it is crucial for construction sector workers to be familiar with new practices.
