When you partner with KORE, you have access to a wide range of high performance, high quality insulation and a team of experts with decades of combined experience.
“The company was initially established by Thomas Brady and our current Managing Director Noel Brady was involved in the set-up,” revealed the company’s Commercial Director Caroline Ashe who has occupied that role for the past six years.
“Over time the company evolved and now we specialise in supplying solutions for both new builds and retrofit applications for the construction sector. Our key selling point is that polystyrene is a product that has been in use for over 60 years and its performance doesn’t diminish over time. It offers great savings not to mention environmentally friendly products,” Caroline added.
KORE has come a long way from humble beginnings and currently has 49 employees on its payroll. The board of directors believe that their people are what makes them stand out from the crowd. They accomplish success by running their business like a family and KORE prides itself on having the most enthusiastic, skilled, and driven team that are committed to producing and supplying high quality insulation solutions for their customers.
“We have quadrupled in size over the last six years because we have focused on delivering what our customers need – practical, cost effective, performance driven insulation solutions for a modern construction industry,” Caroline outlined.
Caroline and the KORE team can look back on 2019 with pride. They started on a high with successful audits for their ISO certification 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems) and additional accreditation to ISO 45001: 2018 (Occupational Health & Safety) Standard, upgraded from the previous 18001.
ISO 45001, Occupational Health & Safety allows them to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions for all at KORE. ISO 9001, Quality Management provides guidance for them as a company to ensure consistent quality improvement in their products and services to meet customer requirements.
ISO certification and standards are very important to KORE. They became the first company in Ireland to achieve certification for both ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) in 2015. They always strive to achieve more for their customers and employees, with consistent standard upgrades and new standard implementation.
In addition, KORE were thrilled to receive an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for KORE products EPS70 White, EPS70 Silver, EPS100 White, EPS100 Silver, EPS150 White, EPS200 and EPS300 in March of 2019.
KORE became the first EPS manufacturer in Ireland to have its product certified by the Irish Green Building Council (EPD Ireland) and Eco Platform Europe.
KORE’s EPD measures the complete life cycle of the product, from raw materials when they leave country of origin, through the complete manufacturing process, to when the product leaves the gate. Using Products with an EPD can get additional credits in Building Sustainable Assessment schemes like the Home Performance Index, LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) and BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method).
Looking ahead to the future, the Cavan-based company has no intention of resting on its laurels and ambitious plans for expansion into the UK market are in the pipeline. An unwavering commitment to customer service is the cornerstone which their approach to business is based.
They are available by phone, email and even live chat on their website. When you call KORE you are immediately connected to a person – with no phone systems to navigate. They price every quotation request to the individual project plans that you submit. Whether you’re a BER assessor, developer, architect, engineer, contractor or self builder, they understand the needs of their customers.
They offer technical back up to help plug knowledge gaps, quality – ensuring their solutions meet the exact specifications, delivery ensuring they deliver the right product, to the right place at the right time and flexibility – working within short deadlines and demanding environments.

“We also work with a network of insulation contractors such as Cooper Insulation, Breffni Insulation and Kingdom Insulation,’ Caroline explained. “We are very much focused on making it easy for our customers to do their business. Our ISO accreditations underline our commitment to quality and, as far as we are concerned, quality is linked to the customer experience of building trust. Once our customers trust our products to do what we say they will do, we find that to be half the battle.”
