Working closely with main contractors, designers, architects, specifiers and end-users, Alliance Contract Carpets & Flooring Ltd ensures that every commercial carpet it supplies is the perfect fit for the customer. The company specialises in heavy-contract environments, such as schools, apartment complexes and office facilities.
The company offers one of the widest ranges of hard wearing carpets which are perfect for school flooring, commercial offices, retail outlets and care environments.
“Our carpets are also found in commercial offices, retail outlets and care environments to name a few.
Their products are attractive, innovative, durable and provide solutions to real world problems. They are produced to the highest standards, using the latest manufacturing techniques, always with a continuing emphasis on reducing any environmental impact.
Delivering a quality service is key to the success of the business and Brendan pointed out that no stone is left unturned in their pursuit of perfection.
“Our aim is to ensure we meet the varied requirements of our customers, no matter what sector or industry. For this reason we spend a lot of time researching our markets and getting to know customers and their industries first hand, before setting out to provide them with an effective and tailored solution.”
The ethos of the company is to deliver quality and value with consistency, integrity and, wherever possible, good humour. These principles are at the core of what they do, and by throwing in a large measure of experience, Brendan and his team have ensured that the company has flourished since being established in 2015, despite some testing trading conditions during that time!
“We are quite pleased with the workload that we have. We have been involved in many prestigious projects over the past few years including the National Conference Centre where we have done a number of projects in over the last few years.
“Our work has brought us all over the country and we have carried out projects in the National Trust Bank in Limerick as well as a Pharmaceutical company in Cork and a school in Dungannon, Co Tyrone, just to name a few.”
Brendan revealed that the company’s reputation has grown beyond these shores as they have carried out work in the U.K and are looking to break into mainland Europe.
“We have done a few jobs in the U.K and it is an area we want to build on, while we have tendered for projects in Holland and Germany and we’re hopeful something can come from that.”
This year saw the company nominated for a category in the Fitout awards which confirms their place as the country’s leading supplier of carpet flooring.
Brendan puts a lot of the success of the business down to the excellent staff and sub-contractors that are used on each project.
“There are 12 employed direct while we use a number of sub-contractors to do the fitting. All of these are guys that I have worked with for a number of years and they are tried and trusted, while the know what level of quality we expect from them.
“We would also have a good relationship with our clients, and we work closely with them on all our projects to ensure we not only match their expectations but exceed them.”
Being involved in this sector brings about its own challenges as time constraints are constant as Brendan stated that if a building is not ready for them, they have to work to a schedule that will get the project finished on time.
“If the builder is late handing it over to us, it brings about its own problems, so we have to be adaptable and work accordingly. If we have to do nights then we will do so.”
Brendan stressed that their aim was to cause as little disruption as possible on any live project that they are involved in, something they have become quite adapt at doing.
“If we go into an office at night, which is being used during the day, we will endeavour to leave everything the way it was when we went in. That happened recently in the Bank of America in Dublin, where the staff came in the following morning and new carpeting was down, but everything was in its place.”
Brendan feels that the company is growing all the time as their reputation in the industry continues to rise on an annual basis.
“Yes, I would be very pleased with the way the business is going at the moment. We have worked hard to built a reputation for providing a good service and as I said already, we are looking to expand the business overseas. There is no reason why we can’t grow further and the future looks very bright indeed.”
