“I’ve been Project Manager with TRIUR Construction Ltd since June 2019 and look after the company’s projects in the northern half of the country from Galway to Dublin and above.”
Established since 2012, TRIUR Construction Ltd was founded by its current directors Gary Coone, Pat Hartigan and Cathal Coleman.
All three men come from a Civil Engineering background and developed a company which today offers clients a diverse range of services across various disciplines within the construction sector.
The growth of TRIUR Construction Ltd over the last eight years has been impressive, especially when you take into account that it was born in a time when the construction industry in this country was reeling.
Its success to date is based on its ability to provide complete in-house solutions to cater for all of their clients’ civil engineering and building requirements.
The firm operate on a directly employed multi-skilled workforce model and this, combined with a wholly owned fleet of specialist plant and equipment, enables greater flexibility, control, safety and quality on all their construction projects.

Having recently marked 12 months with the company, Lurcán insists that building year on year organically remains the priority at TRIUR Construction Ltd.
“We had the biggest January on record this year and we’re definitely moving in the right direction,” said the Project Manager.
“The main focus is just to steadily build year on year and the ‘Structure C’ Bray Head project was a nice one to work on last year as it was a great opportunity for TRIUR Construction Ltd to demonstrate its immense capability to deliver complex projects with tight deadlines.”
TRIUR’s work has seen them successfully complete contracts in all 26 counties in the Republic of Ireland and its work on the Renewal of Coastal Defence Asset ‘Structure C’ Bray Head saw it shortlisted at the 2020 ICE awards in its Specialist Services Contractor category.
This project peaked TRIUR’s interest once it was released for tender, possessing the equipment, personnel, expertise and resolve to successfully deliver this project.
Upon securing the contract, TRIUR understood the mammoth challenge that lay ahead and immediately delved into the planning of the works in order to establish a programme which encompassed the project requirements, complexities and constraints as outlined in the tender documents.
Once the project timeline was firmly in place and agreed by both parties, a strong logistic plan was developed to mitigate project delay risks. Each party was aware of their roles and responsibilities within this plan. All tasks were accomplished within the required timelines which enabled works to run smoothly.
The collaborative approach to this project from all parties streamlined the flow of information and allowed the project teams from both TRIUR and Iarnród Éireann to deliver a tremendous end product, on time and within budget.
It was certainly a project to be proud of and a testament to each and every individual involved from conception right through to completion who achieved excellence.
Irish Rail were the clients on the project which had a contract value of €600,000.
TRIUR were as proud as any company in the country to learn that they had been shortlisted in the Specialists Service Contractors category at the annual ICE Awards before the event’s postponement in March.
“Irish Rail nominated us just before Christmas and we went through the interviews at the start of February,” Lurcán outlined.
“It was a huge achievement to be shortlisted and to be recognised at the top of our field, especially only being established eight years and having started in the middle of a recession.
“I think it does show how far TRIUR Construction has come in such a relatively short space of time.”
So what has been the secret to success for TRIUR Construction Ltd?
