Building Ireland caught up with the man himself recently to learn about what is currently a thriving business.
Paddy O’Meara Construction Ltd has 30 years experience in construction, a CIRI registered business, gaining experience working closely with clients, architects and the supply chain to deliver projects successfully.
“We provide expertise, knowledge, materials, manpower which allows us to work on all types of projects priding ourselves on our professionalism and work ethic,” Paddy tells us. “The company is up to date with all the latest building methods, regulations and aims to deliver projects in a timescale that suits the client.
“We’ve been a limited company since 2015 but operating with 30 years’ experience following my father’s footsteps.”
Paddy O’Meara Construction Ltd works nationwide. “We completed renovating a property in Dublin City prior to Covid 19 pandemic and an attic conversion in Lexlip in Kildare and I am currently commencing and organising my team to start extensions and renovations locally and the diary is filling up for 2021,” says Paddy.
This past March saw construction sites nationwide shutdown overnight after the government enforced lockdown measures to battle the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since the lifting of lockdown on May 18th, Paddy O’Meara Construction Ltd has never been busier and the plan is to continue to deliver projects to clients for the foreseeable future in a safe manner.
“We’ve numerous projects on at the moment, including a new build here in Toomevara and extensions, People are keen to extend their homes to increase their living space, it was great to see progress of works resumed following the lockdown,” said Paddy.
Of course Paddy himself brings three decades of experience to the table, but what has been the secret to this particular venture’s success?
“The success of my business is always aiming to provide a quality service, the projects are always completed to a high standard. ‘Do it once and do it right is my motto’,” Paddy said.
“It is important to have direct connection with the clients, it’s essential to understand exactly what the client wants, from their big ideas to the finishing touches and ensure they are involved at every step of the project.
“It’s essential to have good management skills, keeping everything in order is crucial from scheduling, administration, finances and production.
“All these combined together we have the tools to succeed,” explained Paddy.
