The Construction Crew cover all your home improvement needs

29 Apr , 2021

Looking to maximise the potential of your home? If so, why not call The Construction Crew who are specialists in extensions, renovations, conversions and new builds.

Established in Trim, Co. Meath in 2007, The Construction Crew is a family-run business which has earned an enviable reputation for delivering perfect home extensions. Covering Meath, Dublin and the surrounding counties, the company guarantees high customer satisfaction and quality workmanship. Only the very best building materials are used to give clients the best value-for-money. All work is fully insured, C2 and VAT registered.

No job is too big or too small for this exceptional contractor. From converting a garage or attic to building an extension or new home, each and every job receives the small level of care, attention and quality. Over the past 13 years, The Construction Crew has been contracted by both domestic and commercial customers throughout the Leinster region. With a strong background in carpentry, the company provides a bespoke carpentry service from start to finish. From its workspace, it can design custom kitchens or wardrobes to your exact specifications.

“If you’re wishing to expand your house, construct a new build, a full renovation or just a single room renovation, just give us a call for a free quotation. We cover all your home improvement needs at competitive prices,” says company owner Richie Doyle.

“Construction and carpentry excellence are at the heart of everything we do. We take great pride in what we do, whether it’s hanging a door or building a new house. The quality of our workmanship, our willingness to go the extra mile for the customer and our competitive pricing enable us to stand out from the crowd. Customers need to know that they’re getting value for their money.

“Our overall goal is to make sure the client is 100% satisfied. People are spending a lot more time at home since the COVID-19 pandemic hit and we can help and advise them on how to best utilise their space. For example, if they need a bedroom converted into an office for working from home, we can take care of it for them.”

A carpenter by trade, Richie set up The Construction Crew after working for his father Declan, who ran a company called Doyle Building & Carpentry Services. The roles are now reversed with Declan working for Richie along with four other staff.

“We started off doing small jobs,” Richie recalls.

“Despite starting out just before the recession, we were always busy and a lot of that was down to the work we did for Fraser Graham, who is a property developer from Drogheda. He bought a number of derelict / old properties in the Ringsend and northside areas of Dublin which we transformed into liveable accommodation. We worked for Fraser on and off for about three years.

“There was just my father, my brother-in-law Stephen McAllister and I up until recently when we decided to take on extra staff to deal with the increased volume of work. Our team now comprises myself, Declan Doyle, Stephen McAllister, Johnny Murtagh, Peter Hegarty (x2), Jake Chamberlain-Daye and Aaron Duignan. Most of us are skilled carpenters who can turn our hand to other trades. We also use regular sub-contractors. It’s a real team effort.”

Asked how his company got its catchy name, Richie replies: “I chose ‘The Construction Crew’ because I wanted to build a brand over time and it’s easy to remember. In any case, there are enough companies called ‘Doyle Builders’ and ‘Doyle Carpentry’ out there without me using the same name!”

A strong presence on social media has been a key driver of business for the Co. Meath-based contractor.

“Social media is the new word of mouth,” the affable managing director asserts.

“It’s very important to be on social media in this day and age. We use that platform to promote our list of services and the projects we’ve completed, and it generates a lot of business for us. We have something in the region of 10,500 followers on Facebook and another 3,000 on Instagram. That’s a lot of people seeing your business.”

The Construction Crew have a number of projects currently taking place in Dublin, Kildare and Meath. These include a house renovation and dormer attic conversion in Artane, rear extensions to homes in Dunboyne, Kilcock and the aptly-named Carpenterstown (Castleknock) as well as a wrap-around extension to a property in Blanchardstown.

The full list of services offered are: new builds, extensions, attic conversions, renovations, wood flooring, kitchen units, bathroom fitting, wardrobe fitting, sunrooms / conservatories and windows and doors. Richie hopes to add one-off house builds to that list in the near future.

“We get a lot of inquiries for one-off house builds and it’s something we hope to branch into in the next 12 months. COVID-19 put it on the backburner a little bit,” he explains.

Health & Safety has always been paramount with The Construction Crew and never more so than in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak. Richie ensures that his team follows all the relevant guidelines and takes all the necessary precautions at all times.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers and suppliers for their continued work, and our staff for their expertise, hard work and dedication,” concludes Richie who, incidentally, was shortlisted for the part of the main foreman on the Irish version of DIY SOS [DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland] which is aired on RTÉ and his presented by Baz Ashmawy.
