Based in Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, Gahan Construction is a general building contracting firm specialising in renovations, extensions, property maintenance, loft conversions, new builds and painting.
Looking to maximise the potential of your home? If so, why not call Gahan Construction who can take care of all your renovation and extension needs.
No job is too big or too small for this exceptional family-run business which was established in 2015 by Ryan Gahan. A carpenter by trade, Ryan employs 12 staff directly, including his father Michael and brother Callum, who looks after the property management side of the business.
“We’re a team of highly-experienced builders with years of experience in extensions, renovations, loft conversions and house building,” Ryan says.
“While most of our work is concentrated in Dublin, we also cover Wexford and anywhere in between. We’ll go wherever the work is.”
Outstanding workmanship, attention to detail, value-for-money and a commitment to working closely with clients to deliver total satisfaction are the hallmarks of Gahan Construction. Health & Safety is at the core of the business, and never more so than in this COVID-19 age. From concept to completion, Ryan and his team are with you every step of the way, ensuring that your new project is designed and built to your specific needs, and that there are no hidden or extra costs involved.
Whether your next project is an extension, renovation, loft conversion or new build, Gahan Construction’s one-stop shop approach will ensure that both the design and building processes are smooth, comfortable and hassle-free. The Wexford contractor’s reputation for quality construction and ability to complete projects on time and within the agreed budget is borne out by the high volume of repeat business and referrals it receives from satisfied clients.
“We look after all the builder’s works ourselves and sub-contract the rest to the same tried and trusted tradesmen. By employing high-skilled people, collaborating with our architects, engineers and design teams, and using only the very best building products, we’re able to deliver the highest quality construction to our clients,” Ryan continues.
“We have put together a top-class team who take great pride in what they do. Each and every job receives the same level of care and attention, regardless of its size. We’re honest and upfront with our customers, which is very important.
“If you’re looking to extend, renovate or construct a new build, just give us a call for a free quotation. We’re fully insured and cover all your home improvement needs at the keenest prices.”
Gahan Construction has successfully completed a wide and varied range of building projects, including many housing adaptation projects for older people or people with a disability which are funded by local county council grants. The contractor is currently carrying out an extension in Ballymoney, Co. Wexford and a loft extension in Templeroan in South Dublin, while it recently spent nine weeks salvaging roof and steel materials from three warehouses in Palmerstown for another project in Co. Wexford.
“The materials are being reused on another job by BHA Construction who we enjoy an excellent relationship with, especially when it comes to property maintenance. New apartments are being developed on the site where the warehouses were located.”
While the pandemic has led to a shortage and sharp increase in the cost of building materials, it has also been good for business as Ryan explains: “During lockdown, many people saved money because they weren’t able to go out and spend it. Being confined to the house also made them think about ways of improving or making better use of their living space. This all led to a boom in home renovations and improvements.
“We have never been as busy with extension and renovation work. I think lockdown has given people a new-found appreciation for their home and they’re more willing to invest in it as a result.”
Ryan recently set up a second company called Gahan Brothers Sandblasting Ltd. It came about after he identified a need in the market for a mobile sandblasting service.
“We saw an opening for such a service and decided to go for it. The two businesses complement each other,” the affable builder points out.
Passionate about quality construction, Ryan would like to take this opportunity to thank his clients, suppliers, sub-contractors and design teams for their continued support. For more information and examples of its work, check out Gahan Construction on Facebook.
