JLL (Jones Lang LaSalle) is a leading Project Management and Development Services specialist which was named Project Management Firm of the Year at the recent 2022 Fit Out Awards.
The prestigious award was no more than JLL deserved after it was shortlisted in six different categories, namely Fit Out Project of the Year – Large Office (for Horizon Therapeutics), Fit Out Project of the Year – Medium Office (for Ericsson HQ in Sandyford), Fit Out Project of the Year – Small Office Over €500k (Data Centre for a private client), Fit Out Project of the Year – Small Office Under €500k (for the Very Group), Project Manager of the Year and Fit Out Project Management of the Year.
Presented at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road, Dublin on Wednesday, November 23 last, the Fit Out Awards celebrate excellence in the execution of world-class fit outs as well as the people and clients who drive these projects. The awards offer a great opportunity for companies from all over Ireland to come together, collaborate and showcase their work.
JLL Associate Director Bryan Moran was delighted to be nominated for the Project Manager of the Year award which not only reflects well on him, but on the entire JLL Project & Development Services team. The multi-disciplinary team comprises nine project managers who harness the skills of engineers, designers and building surveyors to deliver creative technical solutions.
Bryan is joined by Andrew McCracken (Senior Director), Edel Farrelly (Project Manager), Hannah Hickey (Project Manager), Ali Murphy (Assistant Project Manager), Dara Byrne (Project Management Consultant), David Connolly (Senior Project Manager), Aisling T (Team Coordinator) and Victoria Mooney (Team Coordinator). They work from the same Dublin office as the Building Surveying team of Oliver Held (Director), Denis Doherty (Associate Director), Andrew Leaver (Building Surveying Consultant) and Jennifer Mulder (Graduate Surveyor) along with Sharyn McAndrew (Head of Sustainability) and Beatriz Liger (Energy & Sustainability Analyst).
A native of Ardee, Co. Louth, Bryan Moran is a B.Sc (Hons) Building Surveying graduate who joined JLL at the age of just 22 in 2015. His primary role is the project management of commercial office schemes, office campus development for tenants, developers, owner occupiers and funding institutions. His speciality lies in the project management of commercial interior fit out projects for corporate occupiers.
Bryan is an extremely diligent project manager and business leader who utilises skills from his building surveying and project management experience. He has a very positive and encouraging outlook on projects, and always adopts a ‘client first’ approach. Bryan enjoys engagement with stakeholders from inception to completion and has a management style which encourages a team mentality on all projects.
Furthermore, he understands that each project is unique and therefore requires a unique approach which he can identify and adapt to quickly. He lives and breathes his job, and his passion for the role is evident daily. He is continually striving to learn and improve systems, whether within a specific project or within the internal team.
In his seven years with JLL, Bryan has worked his way up through the ranks from Junior Project Manager to Project Manager to Senior Project Manager and Associate Director. He is now managing some of the junior members of the team and has been involved in over 700,000 sq. ft. of fit out projects in offices, industrial, retail and refurbishment projects to date. Of those, he has acted as Lead Project Manager on over 500,000 sq. ft.
Horizon Therapeutics in Dublin 2 was one of JLL’s most significant projects in recent years. The company provided client base build monitoring, fit out PM and CM services to the €16 million 7,000m2 new build office which was delivered on time, despite delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The project included significant structural works to achieve the client’s ambitions for their HQ. It was also completed under budget, achieving LEED Gold and implementing WELL standards.
US Bank Elavon in Dublin 18 and Block 5 George’s Dock in Dublin 1 are two other large-scale projects recently completed by JLL. The Ericsson HQ project, which was shortlisted for Fit Out Project of the Year – Medium Office, was totally designed around hybrid working, with multiple types and styles of work space, meeting and collaboration zones with space to showcase their products. A wonderful final space using natural products was achieved.
Nominated for Fit Out Project of the Year – Small Office Under €500k, the office for Very Group was also developed on the back of a changing work environment. The works carried out consisted of a refurbished kitchen, a Townhall Service and secure employee working areas with plenty of collaboration space.
