E.C. Construction (Moneyvolan) Ltd is a family business which was established in 1992 by Company Directors Edward and Mary Carragher and is based in Moneyvolan, Annyalla, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan.
This year they celebrate the 25 year anniversary milestone and there is no great secret to the solid foundations that the company is built on. “Hard work and a good knowledge of the construction trade” answered Mary Carragher when asked to outline how the company has managed to stand the test of time.
Eddie has spent his life in the building trade and his experience has been key to the growth of the business and he has a vast knowledge of all types of building work.
Mary is Office Manager with responsibility for the management and control of the financial and administration within the company.
Eddie and Mary’s son Ryan B.Eng, Bsc Hons (Surv) Contracts Manager is also part of the family run business. Ronan Burke Bsc Hons (Surv) is Project Manager.
The extensive range of building work that E C Construction specialise in includes Private Dwelling Houses, Extensions, Renovations, Home Improvements, General Maintenance, Housing Developments, Filling Stations, Garages, Office Renovations, Shop Renovations, School Extensions and Renovations, Hospital Extensions and Renovations. They are also a registered SEAI Contractor.
Eddie, Mary and their team are currently working in Monaghan, Louth, Meath and Dublin on new builds, extensions and refurbishments.
They run a highly professional company and their prime aim for each project is to provide the highest standard of workmanship, within budget and on time on all projects undertaken and total satisfaction on a job well done.
In order to ensure that each project is completed to this standard E C Construction employ fully accredited and qualified tradesmen and have the expertise to deal with all aspects of the building including complex structures, heritage and restoration projects and fit out works.
In addition they use only the best suppliers and registered sub contractors, have their own plant and machinery and place great importance on working with the entire design team.
They also have an excellent record in Health and Safety and this is achieved by implementing a dedicated and focused approach to these matters.
All of E C Construction’s employees and sub contractors are highly skilled and liase with Eddie, Ryan and Ronan on all aspects of each individual project.
Their personnel have Safe Pass Cards, Machine Tickets, Occupational First Aid Certificates. Site induction meetings are held at the commencement of each project while regular tool box talks are held and records are kept on file.
A training plan and training records are also kept on all their employees and are reviewed regularly. Management are committed to preventing injury and ill health on their sites.
