Established in 1988 by Jim and Gerry O’Neill, having previously worked for 15 years in the family steel fabrication business. Estimating manager TJ Byrne spoke to Building Ireland about the current projects that the company are involved and added what goals they strive to meet on every contract.
“We deliver the complete package of consultation, design, fabrication, installation and maintenance to provide engineering, fabrication and structural steel work products and service our clients deserve,” said TJ.
Bridge Engineering supplies some of the largest organisations and companies in the world. They include both the private and public sectors.
“Our biggest project at the moment would be an ongoing contract with Intel in Leixlip. We are carrying out structural steelwork, pipe/duct support steel, steel stairs, walkways, flowforge, fusion bonded grating, pipe bridges, handrails/ balustrades and other works there. On the one site, we could have up to 20 different jobs ongoing and it is important to coordinate all of them in an efficient manner.
“Every few weeks there are new packages and it is ongoing work. Thankfully, we work well with Intel and communication is the key to this. We work with them and coordinate with them on a daily basis.”
