From humble beginnings in November 2013, Alpha Mechanical Services has grown rapidly to become a household name in the mechanical services sector. In less than three years, the Dublin-based firm has seen its staff numbers jump from three to 35, while the opening of a London office in February 2014 led to the formation of a sister company, Alpha Mechanical Services (UK) Ltd.

Alpha offers a variety of services, including new equipment installation, repair, replacement and planned preventative maintenance. It also provides a full range of mechanical consulting, installation and maintenance services with expertise in all aspects of commercial and retail HVAC systems. The company has its own in-house engineering, fabrication, commissioning and health & safety experts to ensure cost-effective delivery of the highest quality solutions in a zero-harm environment.
The full list of services offered are as follows: 24-hour emergency call out; heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions; commercial and industrial plumbing solutions; oil, gas and solid fuel systems; maintenance and repair; detailed system logs; high efficiency gas fired rooftop units; commercial and industrial gas safe registered; gas and oil boiler installations and pipework; gas testing and purging; zone control systems; cost controls; new building installations; system upgrades; thermal solar panels; hot water systems; compressed air and steam pipework; ventilation ducting; system controls; energy efficient systems.
Alpha specialises in a large range of commercial / retail and industrial ventilation installations where specialised filtration, ventilation and control systems are required. The company offers in-house design of ventilation systems in accordance with the relevant codes and standards, while certification is available when required. An efficient and well-designed air conditioning system lowers the energy consumption and operating costs.
In addition, Alpha Mechanical Services offers diagnosis and rectification for systems that are not performing as planned. Following a range of tests using certified and calibrated instruments to pinpoint any problem, its technicians provide a written report outlining fault analysis and rectification solutions.
The Clonshaugh-based concern which has completed a wide range of projects for clients in the education, banking, retail, health, commercial and industrial sectors. Clients include Meteor, Lennox, eir, Woodies DIY, Airtricity, Kerry Foods, HSE, Clanwilliam Development, Ardmore Nursing Home and Car Trawler. Recently completed projects include the HVAC requirements over five floors and the basement as well as the installation of a number of Daikin Inverters for the Ardmore Hotel in Finglas – which has been converted into a nursing home – and the fit-out of Daikin VRV air con serving the seating area and including a new Daikin heat recovery system supplying fresh air to Car Trawler at its Classon House headquarters in Dundrum.
The company is currently undertaking projects at the Titanic Hotel in Belfast, UDG Healthcare and Infosys (both CityWest, Dublin 24).

A RGI registered gas installer, Alpha Mechanical Services is in the process of obtaining its Safe-T-Cert. The company’s health & safety management system provides it with a rigorous assessment of health & safety liabilities for every project undertaken. Alpha’s directors bring a wealth of experience, knowledge and expertise to every job. Alan Kelly has extensive knowledge of the commercial plumbing industry along with all aspects of HVAC. He has a hands-on and detailed approach, consistently delivering results beyond the client’s expectations with the highest standards in the industry.
Fellow Dubliner Vincent Geraghty has many years of experience as a contracts manager in the industry. He is well-versed in air conditioning and ventilation, mechanical system components and HVAC design, installation and servicing. Like Alan, he is very hands-on in his approach to company affairs, ensuring that the team of skilled tradesmen perform to the high standards they consistently achieve.
Alpha Mechanical Services’ Dublin office is open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday–Friday and between 10am and 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
