Another major milestone for Lynch Windows

5 Feb , 2026

The view from Lynch Windows – Ireland’s trusted, full-service provider of residential and commercial windows and doors – is decidedly clear and bright right now as this industry-leading, family-run business celebrates its 25th anniversary. True to form, for a company that has been synonymous with growth since its inception, 2025 just so happens to also be their busiest year to date!

Operating out of Buncrana in County Donegal, Lynch Windows manufacture, supply and fit bespoke windows, doors, shopfronts and glazed curtain wall systems, consistently delivering optimal glazing packages across a vast portfolio of commercial, residential and mixed-use projects nationwide and internationally.

Since its inception at the turn of the millennium, this outstanding family business has focused on offering clients exceptional products and service levels – a detailed approach that has seen Lynch Windows establish itself as one of Irelands premier window and door system contractors, building enduring, mutually-beneficial professional relationships with a who’s who of clients island-wide.

General manager Gavin Cullen – nephew of founder Pat Lynch, who set the company up in September 2000 – is delighted to confirm that Lynch Windows is in rude health as it reaches its landmark 25th anniversary:

“I’ve been here since the beginning and, to be honest, it’s surprising that 25 years have passed already. It goes by very quickly and we’re naturally very proud of the journey we’ve been on so far and the fact that Lynch Windows has been so successful to date.”

One of the keys to the success of Lynch Windows is that they grew organically and sustainably in response to demand for their products and services rather than getting ahead of themselves. “We’ve enjoyed gradual and continual growth, which has been manageable,” Gavin notes. “We didn’t double or triple in size year on year.

“Instead, we grew steadily. It hasn’t all been plain sailing: there were challenges as we scaled up, but we managed to overcome these. It’s fair to say that we are now operating at a much bigger scale than we would have dared to have imagined in the early days but we’re very happy with where we’re at.”

Lynch Windows are strongly committed to achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction via their personalised service, product standards and value for money offering. Their products include a full range of windows, doors, components and accessories, including uPVC windows and doors, composite doors, sliding sash windows, aluclad windows, aluminium windows, curtain wall systems, shop fronts, aluminium lift and slide patios, bi-fold doors and roof lights. All products and practices are guaranteed, independently certified and insured.

Having their own in-house design team, fabrication workshops and fitting teams in place allows Lynch Windows to deliver the complete A to Z package as a one-stop shop, affording customers the complete peace of mind that goes hand in hand with having a single dependable point of contact to deliver the complete job, both on time and within budget.

Looking after customers has been a non-negotiable aspect of the Lynch Windows ethos since Day One. “We try our very best to do our best on every project,” Gavin states matter-of-factly.

At the heart of the business is an exceptional team of skilled and experienced staff. “We currently have up to 80 full-time staff directly employed as well as another 20 or 30 subcontractors who are with us on a regular basis,” says Gavin.

“Quite simply, we wouldn’t be where we are without our brilliant team. We take every project right through from consulting stage to costing and have our own in-house design team, our own state-of-the-art fabrication plant and personnel in Buncrana and our own fitting teams.

“So, we have everything in house, all the expertise and knowledge to satisfy all residential and commercial glazing needs, and to take every project right through from start to finish. Having our own consulting, design, fabrication and fitting teams in-house is massively important; there aren’t too many others offering all those services in-house.

“Being able to provide that full service gives you complete control over every aspect of the project, which is essential, but you also need a good supply chain as well and we are very grateful to have that.”

Revealing that Lynch Windows’ 25th-anniversary year has been their busiest to date, Gavin adds: “We’ve done work for all our major retail partners this year – Lidl, Aldi, Tesco, Dunnes, Super Valu and Applegreen – on projects nationwide and in the UK.

“We’re also working on a very nice bespoke project for the IDA at the moment and are also doing the new 110-bed CNU (community nursing home) in Letterkenny for Boyle Construction as well as up to 1,000 apartments in Dublin for a variety of different contractors. There’s a good mix of work there and we are very versatile in terms of the solutions we can deliver.”

Lynch Windows take great pride in being more than just a window company; they are a team that takes care of their community. Right now, they are prioritising homeowners affected by DCB (Defective Concrete Blocks), understanding the stress and disruption this issue has caused for so many families. Our goal is to help make the rebuilding process as smooth and efficient as possible by offering short lead times and dedicated support from start to finish.

“We work hard to ensure that those forced to leave their homes can move back into their forever homes quickly, fitted with beautiful, energy–efficient new windows and doors that enhance comfort, style and sustainability. We have set up a separate production line to make sure we can get these products out as quickly as possible so that people can get back into their homes. This is something we’re very happy to do.

“At Lynch Windows, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, secure and proud of their home – we’re committed to delivering high–quality craftsmanship and a reliable service to make that happen. Your home is our priority, and we are here to help rebuild it better than ever.”

Lynch Windows has come a long way in 25 years. Looking to the future, is it a case of onwards and upwards? “We’re not really thinking about growth. To be fair, we never did,” Gavin concludes. “It’s all about being sustainable, creating efficiencies in the business and looking after our customers and our staff, so that we can hold onto them. We have great people here and we strive to be as loyal to them as they are to us.”
