Established more than two decades now, Rathcorbally Construction Ltd has built a reputation as a high-quality building and civil engineering contractor. Building Ireland profiles this successful construction venture which is situated in the country’s Midlands and continues to thrive strongly in its line of work.
These are busy times at Rathcorbally Construction Ltd and the plan for its Managing Director Seamus Greene and Gerry Duffy BEng., Site Engineer & Contracts Manager, and the rest of the team is to try and keep things that way for the foreseeable future.
Based in Rathcorbally, Mullingar, Co Westmeath, the company is renowned for its high standard of work and delivery of excellent projects within the Irish construction sector. The company has used this strategy ever since its foundation, and it has undoubtedly been successful.
Rathcorbally Construction have, over the last few years completed projects for Irish entrepreneur Conor McCarthys’ Emerald Airlines’, Ashbourne Landing Gear Facility for Dublin Aerospace, Athletics Irelands new premises and multiple projects for Silent-Aire, a world leading design, engineering, manufacturer, and servicing of Modular Data Centers in Ireland.
Currently, it is working on the €4 million Maynooth Church & Community Development project in Co. Kildare, and Building Ireland contacted Safety Officer & I.T. Support, John Malone to learn more about the organization’s past and present projects.
“Some of our more recent projects, including operating airside in Dublin Airport for Emerald Airlines and Dublin Aerospace, had created some great challenges for Seamus and the crew. It was extremely difficult to operate in a high security setting while transporting supplies and even staff, but it was also incredibly rewarding to finish this project on schedule and within budget,“ explained John..
“We have also completed multiple projects in Silent-Aire who are a world leading technology driven company that designs, engineers, and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data centre solutions based in Dublin. We have also completed multiple one-off residential projects.
“Rathcorbally Construction have been extremely busy over the last few years, and we are now delighted to be a part of the Maynooth Church & Community project.”
Busy times indeed.
Since its inception in February 2002, Rathcorbally Construction Ltd has built up its reputation as a high-quality building and civil engineering contractor.
The company holds a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget and to the client’s precise and, sometimes, ever-changing needs and specifications.
As a construction business, it boasts a vast range of experience and provides a wide range of services to both public and private sector clients as a main contractor on building, civil engineering, ground works, restoration, renovation, and redecoration to existing and dilapidated buildings.
Past projects that the company have conducted include Star Primary Care Centre in Blessington, Co Wicklow – a steel framed building with stone and glass cladding and ground works that consisted of augured concrete piles, piling platforms and ground beams. The project, which was over-seen by Brian Connolly & Associates Engineers (Clane, Co Kildare), was completed on schedule by Rathcorbally Construction Ltd for the client.
Closer to home, the company also carried overseen works on Sonna National School in Mullingar which saw the refurbishment of the existing 1950s old school building along with the construction of the new school.
Other work in Mullingar that the firm has delivered in the past includes the Presbyterian Church in the town along with several other residential projects, including a recently completed property in Collinstown, as they continue to provide a turnkey service when it comes to the constructing of homes.
Work at Kinsella’s Medical Hall (pharmacy) in Edenderry, Co Offaly saw Rathcorbally Construction Ltd demolishing its existing structure at 56 JKL St, as well as the property adjacent structure, and construct a new two-storey RC concrete and steel structure. Full fit-out work and decoration was conducted to accommodate the pharmacy and beauty salon situated on the second floor.
The project was completed “within a very tight programme” and overseen by Fitzsimons, Doyle & Associates, Dublin 6.
The quality at which the projects were completed is unparalleled, and Rathcorbally Construction Ltd. continues to provide services in a professional manner to this day thanks to the personnel that Seamus Greene and his business have on hand. Management and staff are constantly updating necessary training, skills, and compliances for the construction industry. It all helps to ensure that the company continually provides a wide range of services throughout the construction industry, whether it be in the commercial, residential, educational, or healthcare sectors.
The success of Rathcorbally Construction Ltd over the past 21 years has been based on its conviction that the interests of the clients always come first. It is a business that caters for government and semi-state bodies, developers, institutions, estate and landowners, property owner occupiers and private individuals and also holds membership with the industries professional bodies, including Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA), Construction Industry Federation (CIF), Construction Industry Register Ireland (CIRI) and Voluntary Construction Register (VCR)
