Based in Buncrana, Co Donegal, Lynch Windows Ltd specialises in the manufacture, supply & fit of windows, doors, shopfronts and glazed curtain wall system. Building Ireland touched base with its General Manager Gavin Cullen recently to discuss the ins and outs of the company, its current projects and overall hopes going forward.
Business is good these day at Lynch Windows Ltd and the plan for GM Gavin Cullen and the rest of the team up in Umricam, Co Donegal is to try and keep things that way for the foreseeable future.
Established since 2000, the company employs 60 direct staff and offers its customers a full range of products for commercial and residential clients, including uPVC windows and doors, composite doors, sliding sash windows, Aluclad windows, aluminium windows, curtain wall systems, shop fronts, bifold doors, patio doors, French doors and roof lights.
It’s a family business that delivers unique, high-quality solutions to residential, commercial and mixed-use projects nationwide.
Nephew of the company’s founder and Managing Director Pat Lynch, Gavin Cullen has been part of the team in Umricam from the very beginning and filled Building Ireland in on the details of this thriving business in the north west which is closing in on a quarter of a century since its inception.
“It’s very busy for us here at the minute. It’s all very positive with lots of work and hopefully it’ll stay that way,” he outlined.
“Right now, we’ve a couple of large-scale apartment blocks in Dublin that we’re working on at the moment. We also have a hell of a lot of retrofitting for the County Councils and we also have retail project on for Lidl, Aldi, Tesco, McDonald’s and Applegreen at the minute as well.
“On top of that, we have a lot high-end one-off housing going on as well.”
Busy times indeed, and, a bit closer to home, Lynch Windows has a number of on-going big projects that include a couple of local schools and a 110-bed Community Nursing Unit Hospital job up the road in Letterkenny.
Having been founded by Pat Lynch at the turn of the millennium, this business has steadily gained a strong reputation for excellence on a nationwide scale by delivering quality work time and time again.
It’s a firm which remains family-owned and run to this day and is as committed as ever to achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction in its personalised service, product standards and value for money offering.
Operating with its own in-house design team, fabrication workshops and fitting teams ensures that Lynch Windows is capable of providing the complete A to Z package for customers.
Since ‘Day One’, those three elements have been essential to its customers to ensure peace of mind that they benefit from one reliable point of contact to deliver the complete job, both on time and within budget.
For years now, Lynch Windows has had an excellent working relationship with clients such as Lidl who continue to avail of their services time and time again.
In more recent times, other big-name clients like Aldi and McDonald’s have been availing of those same services as the Donegal-based business continues to add to its already impressive client portfolio.
So, all of that considered, the burning question is what has been the secret behind Lynch Windows’ success to date?
How has a small start-up grown into what is now very much a thriving business which holds an excellent reputation amongst its clientele?
For Gavin, it comes down to a combination of different factors but, overall, he points to a continued quality service as being paramount.
“We try our best to do our best. Customer satisfaction and giving the right service to people is right at the top of our list in terms of what we want to do here. Then it does justify a lot of repeat custom for us,” he stated.
As a company, Lynch Windows has always viewed honesty as being its key value in dealing with customers queries and one key reason why it has amassed a reputation of trustworthiness over the past quarter century.
Its experienced staff members are committed to always delivering the high standards they would expect in their own property – right from the initial estimation on a project to the aftercare service.
Looking at the coming months for the company, its General Manager is as optimistic as he has ever for what’s ahead business-wise.
“At the minute, we are recruiting staff and we’re just doing it in terms of our capacity and the workload rather than wanting growth,” Gavin explained.
He concluded: “We hope to just continue to get through the work and try and do the best possible job on the projects that we’re on at the minute.”
Lynch Windows would like to take this opportunity to thank its customers and suppliers for their continued support as well as its staff for their dedication, hard work and expertise down through the years.
It’s a company which is always on hand to take customers calls, reply to your email enquiries or welcome you into its superb showroom to help you turn dream plans into reality (see full contact details below).
