Andrew holds a Degree in Construction Management from Limerick Institute of Technology and Herriot Watt University Edinburgh and has over 15 years experience in the building and construction industry.
The Mullingar native learned the ropes when working as a foreman with his uncle’s company, M Glennon (Moate) Ltd, based in Dublin and managing large housing developments for South Dublin County Council before moving to Kilkenny to set up his own company in 2005.

“We’re with the client every step of the way from the moment we come on board until the client moves into their new home,” Andrew commented.
“We mainly do one off housing, big extensions and renovations on high end houses but we’ve also a site going in Callan at the moment – Friary Walk.
“We’ve planning out there for 65 houses and we are on site doing the groundworks and getting ready to go. We completed 12 units last September for the Cluid Housing Association and they are all occupied.”

As he turns his attention to the company’s future, Andrew’s outlook remains optimistic. He has grown the business from humble beginnings in the last 12 years and, having successfully navigated the choppy waters of the economic downturn, he expects that the upward curve will continue in the years ahead.
“We’re hoping to get a few enquires on the homes in Callan. We’ll probably take on more staff and expand when I get a few deposits in. Our priority at the moment is to get the show house up and going.
“We survived the recession. We started in 2005 and built up the business through the worst recession ever. There’s a lot more confidence in the sector this year than there has been in recent years.”
