CPAC Modular’s Project Manager Rachael Ryan Shortlisted for Women in Construction Award

10 Apr , 2026

CPAC Modular Project Manager Rachael Ryan has been shortlisted for the prestigious Women in Construction Awards, which celebrate women who are driving progress, innovation, and leadership across Ireland’s construction sector. The winners will be announced at a gala event on June 11th 2026.

Rachael’s nomination recognises her exceptional leadership on some of Ireland’s most significant Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) projects, including Ireland’s first permanent modular school and the highly technical Irish Rail DART Simulator Building.

Since joining CPAC Modular just three and a half years ago, Rachael has rapidly become one of the company’s most respected and future-focused project managers. Her unique blend of design intelligence, manufacturing insight, and Lean-driven project delivery has strengthened CPAC Modular’s capability to deliver complex, time-critical projects across the education, civil, and transport sectors.

Rachael’s leadership was pivotal in the delivery of Ireland’s first permanent modular school, a €15 million, 16-classroom project completed in April 2025. The project has since been recognised nationally as an exemplar of MMC excellence and innovation. The school principal praised Rachael as “the anchor throughout a complex and fast-paced project… always keeping the needs of students at the centre of every decision.”

Rachael is currently leading delivery on Irish Rail’s first-of-its-kind DART Simulator Building, a complex, city-centre project involving precision engineering, advanced data integration, and international suppliers.

As a woman thriving in a traditionally male-dominated environment, Rachael is a visible role model for the next generation of female construction professionals. Her calm leadership, clarity under pressure, and collaborative approach have earned her deep respect from colleagues, clients, and contractors alike, which is set for completion this month.

Rachael’s shortlisting reflects her outstanding contribution to CPAC Modular and to Ireland’s evolving MMC landscape. Her Lean-led improvements have been adopted across the company, strengthening delivery capability and supporting CPAC Modular’s continued growth.

Speaking about the nomination, Rachael said she is driven by the impact her projects have on communities: “Seeing the users of the building, such as students walk into a new school that will shape their future — that’s what motivates me. I’m proud to help deliver buildings that genuinely improve people’s lives.”

Sean Murphy, Managing Director of CPAC Modular commented, “Rachael’s nomination is a testament to the calibre of her work and the impact she has had on CPAC Modular. She brings a rare blend of design intelligence, technical rigour, and people‑centred leadership to every project she manages. Her contribution to landmark builds like Ireland’s first permanent modular school has strengthened our reputation in MMC and set new standards for delivery across the sector. Rachael is an exceptional project manager and an invaluable asset to our team — we are immensely proud to see her talent recognised at a national level.”
