27 Jun , 2018

The team behind Crannog Roofing has over 17 years of qualified roofing experience and aim to provide a personal and professional service dedicated to exceeding their clients’ expectations and requirements.

Established in 2001, the County Meath-based company are experts when it comes to complete roofing solutions from Traditional, Zinc, Copper & Lead, Single ply, Resitrix EPDM, Bitumen felts, Liquids & GRP Fibreglass

In addition, they now provide a complete roof build up which will carry substantial warranties to give Clients peace of mind.

Their attention to detail, craftsmanship and excellent customer service has ensured their position as a much sought after company and market leaders in this field.

Under the supervision of Directors Niall O’Regan and David Callaghan, the progressive company currently has a large team of specialist employees on its payroll and their services are very much in demand at this point in time.

“We’ve a number of exciting projects on the go at the moment,” David Callaghan explained. “We’re currently working on New Development for Cairn homes at Marianella Lands, Rathgar, Dublin 14 which Crannog are on course to complete on schedule.

Furthermore Crannog are involved in a number of other developments which include

33 houses and 37 apartments at Northwood Green, Santry and the refurbishment of St Conleth’s College in Ballsbridge to note but a few”

Conservation and heritage work is another significant string to their bow and they are currently working on a refurbishment of a period home for Kealy Construction which is located in Drogheda, Co Louth.

“We carry out a lot of private work on behalf of building contractors and developers and business is good in that regard,” David added.

One of the many past projects that all at Crannog Roofing are particularly proud of is the Pearse Lyons Distillery on James Street in Dublin.

Work Commenced in June 2017, on behalf of John Paul Construction, involving a complete rebuild of the existing roof structure at the location of the brand new whiskey distillery.

Crannog Roofing rebuilt the Roof Structure, adhering to conservation guidelines, in order to maintain the character and originality of the building.

The team stripped the existing roof. It was then re-built with new treated timber along with Penrhyn Bangor Blue slates which are widely regarded as the best quality roofing slates.

Crannog kept the traditional look of the former roof.  They also formed a copper valley behind the parapet wall.  This ensured that the building has a new lease of life whilst maintaining its classic look that is so renowned in Dublin city.

“We’re in advanced negotiations on two new large scale roofing developments that will form a considerable part of Crannog 2018 activity,” David answered when asked: is there much work in the pipeline?

“Most of our work would be concentrated around the Greater Dublin area and with the upturn in the building sector, we are forecasting further growth.”

Crannog Roofing’s clients are guaranteed quality workmanship and a back-up service to match.

They, above all, try to ensure that every customer they deal with is guaranteed satisfaction. If there are ever any concerns, large or small, they have always tried to resolve it to the best of their ability to the customer’s satisfaction.

“Down through the years we have developed a good rapport with the contractors we work for with a lot of continuous business,” David explained. “Our specialist staff is fully trained in what we do.”

“Our attention to detail can only be surpassed by company regard for Health & Safety with the welfare of our employees being paramount to Crannog operations.”
