DS Construction was set up by Daniel Slamon, who takes a hands-on approach to every job. Daniel served his time as a carpenter with a small building firm before deciding to go out on his own. He employs six staff directly (two carpenters, two labourers, one plumber and one apprentice carpenter) and uses the same sub-contractors and architects.
“We’re a one stop shop for all your domestic building needs,” he explains.
“We can look after everything, from new builds and extensions to fitting new kitchens and bathrooms. We deal with the same reputable suppliers. By letting us manage your entire construction project, we can save you time, money and hassle.
“We do all our own carpentry and build our own kitchens. We are in the process of opening a small workshop which will speed up the production of kitchen units and will allow us to build kitchens off-site. We offer a complete, customised solution for your perfect kitchen.
“We pride ourselves on the quality of our workmanship and our ability to complete projects on time and within budget. Our finish is of a very high spec’ and we only use the very best materials. We’re booked up until the middle of next year, so business is good at the moment.”

“Most of our work is carried out in the Dublin 15 area – Clonsilla, Blanchardstown and Castleknock. But we will go wherever the work is,” Daniel says.

“Everyone has their Safe Pass and Manual Handling training done,” the affable managing director continues.
“We were in the middle of a few jobs when the national lockdown was announced. We were expecting cancellations and to lose work, but the opposite has happened and we’ve had to take on an extra labourer. People who were thinking of moving home decided to stay and extend or renovate what they have, and that has obviously created more work for us.”
