Egis in Ireland has announced the appointment of Andrew Doyle as its new Country Director for Transportation and Martin Hogan as Chief Business Officer.
In his new role, Doyle will have responsibility for the company’s full transportation business in Ireland, which includes advising on, designing, and construction supervision for heavy and light rail, bus, tram and cycleways projects in addition to other infrastructure such as roads and bridges.
Egis in Ireland is part of the French-headquartered Egis Group, a leading global architecture, consulting, construction engineering and operating firm. In Ireland, the company provides a range of engineering services to clients including Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Iarnród Eireann (Irish Rail) and local authorities in addition to private contractors.
The company’s flagship projects in Ireland include the design and build engineering of the N22 Baile Bhuirne to Macroom road and the preliminary design and planning of the Luas extension to Finglas.
Doyle joined Egis Group in 2017 and worked on a number of projects in Ireland and the UK before becoming Operations Director in the company’s rail division in Ireland, leading a team working on intercity and urban projects.
A Wicklow native, he has a background in project management and capital project delivery. Prior to joining Egis, Doyle worked as programme manager with Solas, a charity based in Dublin’s South Inner City which works with young people to help them achieve their full potential. He also previously held technical and commercial roles in the infrastructure and construction sectors.

As Chief Business Officer, Martin Hogan will lead Egis’s strategic growth in Ireland and oversee the management of its client base.
An experienced business leader, Hogan has worked for over 30 years in senior roles across several areas including technical leadership, transformational change and strategic growth. He has previously worked with Elan and Greenstar/NTR.
More recently, he was a Director at JB Barry and Partners, which was acquired by Egis in 2023. In this role, he supported major clients such as Uisce Éireann and Transport Infrastructure Ireland on transformational projects while helping to grow the engineering business and managing the transition of JB Barry to Egis.
Hogan, an Athlone native, holds a series of qualifications from University of Galway, Queen’s University Belfast, King’s Inns, the Irish Management Institute (IMI) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has lectured in Oscail, Dublin City University and is an external examiner in the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS). Aligning with his interests in sustainability and sport, Hogan was previously appointed to the Sixth Advisory Committee of the Environmental Protection Agency by the Minister for the Environment and has served as Chair of Rowing Ireland since 2022 leading key governance changes and a strategic review prior to its most successful Olympic Games.

Egis has an ambitious plan for growth in Ireland. Building on a successful year for the Group, the Irish business is in the market for further acquisitions to complement its 600-strong multi-disciplinary operation, which spans the full lifecycle of consulting engineering, asset management, operations and maintenance services across the built environment.
