Operating out of Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare, Bespoke Build Ltd is a specialist in contemporary builder that focuses on one off, private domestic and commercial builds. Building Ireland touched base with Managing Director Will McLaughlin recently to find out all about the company and its current projects.
Business is good these days at Bespoke Build Ltd and the plan for Will McLaughlin and the team over in Ballymore Eustace is to try and keep things that way right through to 2023.
Set-up in 2017, the company currently employs a team of 20 full-time staff which has over 25 years of experience.
Indeed, the team at Bespoke Build Ltd bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table along with a vast network of suppliers and, above all, a very high level of craftsmanship.
Building Ireland spoke with company owner and founder Will McLaughlin to learn all about what his business specialises in and the projects its immersed in right now.
“We’re tipping along nicely now at the minute and have a good few projects on,” Will outlined.
“The only downside, I suppose, is the fact that it’s been hard to get staff and the fact that (the price of) materials is crazy at the moment.”
The rising cost in materials stemming from the Covid-19 pandemic remains the biggest challenge for construction companies throughout the country and indeed across the globe.
In the five years since its establishment, these past 24 months have been challenging for Bespoke Build Ltd with regards to government lockdowns and now rising material costs brought on by the global pandemic.
However, that said, the company remains busy with projects situated throughout the east of Ireland.
A native of Donegal, Will McLaughlin set-up Bespoke Build Ltd in Ballymore Eustace, Co Kildare via Dublin and the business has consistently grown year on year since its inception in 2017.
Since ‘Day One’, the company has made a point of contracting only the best trades people and the best quality materials so that your bespoke build stands the test of time.
As Will himself puts it, “We do a lot of builds that no other builder would touch, a lot of customized work.”
That work currently sees Bespoke Build Ltd immersed in Dundrum and Killiney, Co Dublin and in Newbridge, Co Kildare as well.
“The project we’re on in Dundrum at the moment is fitting in a block of apartments above a shopping centre and in Killiney it’s a full refurb on a house with side and back extensions.
“We’ve another refurb going on in Newbridge at the moment and a few more projects recently started as well.”

So, that considered, what has been the secret behind the company’s success over the past half decade?
For Will, producing quality work from start to finish on a consistent basis for clients has been a key ingredient to the continued growth and success of Bespoke Build Ltd.
“We like to have a big input into the design stage and I think it gives us a bit of an edge over our competitors,” said the Managing Director.
“We’re pretty easy to work with I think and the quality work that we provide is very good as well. So, we’d like to think it’s because of the finish and the detail that we go in to as well.”
This past December saw one of the company’s projects featuring on RTE new hit property show ‘My Bungalow Bliss’.
The bungalow project in Wicklow started in the summer of 2021 and, as it turned out, would hit television screens nationwide towards the end of the year.
“It was great to see it getting on to a show like ‘My Bungalow Bliss’ and, as it turned out, we were the only ones that got a lot of air time on that programme,” said Will.
“It was nice to see the project getting that kind of attention because it was a great project and deserved it.”
It’s just another example of a project which ran smoothly and then stood out for Bespoke Build Ltd once fully completed.
Looking towards the coming months for his business, Will hopes to see prices of materials eventually coming down and will no doubt be keen on further expansions if and when they do so.
“The hope is to continue to get better at what we do here and that prices will get better for everybody,” he said.
“At the moment, the price of materials and the price of wages are huge, so hopefully things will level off there sooner rather than later.”
