Celebrating 30 years in business, Grogan & Currid Ltd continues to lead the way for quality windows, doors and conservatories.

Based in Carrick-on-Shannon, Co. Leitrim, Grogan & Currid manufactures and supplies high-quality energy-efficient windows, doors and conservatories that enhance the appearance of your home or business. The long-established business offers a range of colours in uPVC, aluminium, double-glazed, triple-glazed and full ‘A’ rated windows. Grogan & Currid’s aim is to deliver high insulation and U-values, and to provide customers with the highest quality products and services. Its windows, doors and conservatories are made from the finest materials and are built to last.

“We have something to suit everyone,” Managing Director Damian Grogan says.

“We pride ourselves on our exceptional products and customer service. We have a top-class team who manufacture and install. We have always manufactured both uPVC and aluminium windows and doors in house. The residential and commercial aluminium windows we manufacture are more for an exclusive market.

“We supply everything from window frames, windows and shutters to metal components and fittings for doors, windows and skylights. Our superior workmanship, attention to detail, value-for-money and ability to work closely with clients to deliver total satisfaction has stood us in good stead over the last 30 years.”

If you are replacing your windows, be it to update your security, to give your house a makeover or to meet energy insulation regulations, Grogan & Currid will advise and work with you to achieve the best possible results at the most competitive prices. The company is fully insured, has a valid tax clearance certificate, while all products are fully CE certified and are NSAI WEP (Window Energy Performance) approved. Grogan & Currid is also ISO 9001 Quality Management accredited and Emergency / Fire Door compliant.

Grogan & Currid has come a long way since Damian Grogan and John Currid set up the business in 1994. The company operated out of Drumkeeran for 22 years before relocating to a 22,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility on the Sligo Road in Carrick-on-Shannon in 2016.

“That was a big game-changer for us,” Damian recalls.

“Apart from being a more strategic location on the main Dublin-Sligo Road, the premises in Carrick-on-Shannon was bigger and therefore allowed us to expand. We’ve invested in new CNC machines and other equipment such as PVC welders, automatic double-head saws and a new glass line. We’re also continually upgrading our van fleet. We have 10 Ford Transits on the road which were supplied by Porter Ford in Sligo.”

Together with Damian and John, Damian’s two sons Dylan and Keelan both came on board in 2015 and were later joined by their sister Alanna, who manages the office. “The lads have brought more modern methods to production, while Alanna has also made a big contribution since she joined the team,” Damian adds.

The affable Managing Director is full of praise for his team of fitters, manufacturers and office-based personnel.

“We’re very fortunate to have a great team who have been extremely loyal to us over the years. They are highly-skilled and have made us what we are today.”

Grogan & Currid boasts a nationwide customer-base ranging from private house owners to main contractors and developers, commercial and industrial clients.

“We recently completed a 20-house retrofit project for REIL (Retrofit Energy Ireland Ltd) in Athenry. Prior to that, we completed 60- and 20-unit projects for them in Mountmellick and Strokestown respectively. We’ve done about 140 houses for REIL in the last year,” Damian explains.

“We’ve also supplied windows and doors to 20 new houses for Glebe Builders in Donegal town and are currently working on Porter Ford’s new showroom in Sligo. We’ve done projects in Dublin at the Coombe Hospital, Peter McVerry Trust and Revenue Commissioners office for Moston Construction. We also collaborated with Moston on the ESB Networks Depot in Tuam recently.

“We enjoy an excellent working relationship with many builders and architects including McKiernan Architects in Carrick-on-Shannon and Davitt Planning and Design, Drumkeeran. The private new build market is huge for us, accounting for about 50% of our business.”

If you would like to view any of Grogan & Currid’s products or see examples of its extensive range of industry-leading windows, doors and conservatories, you can book a showroom appointment. As the company celebrates a milestone birthday, Damian and John would like to take this opportunity to thank their customers and suppliers for their continued support as well as their staff for their hard work, dedication and expertise.

Here’s to the next 30 years!
