14 Nov , 2025

Celebrating 25 years in business, Keaneway Construction Ltd is a one-stop shop for all your general contracting needs. In particular, the family-run business has earned an enviable reputation for building beautiful turnkey, energy efficient homes in the South East.

Based in Davidstown, Enniscorthy, Co, Wexford, Keaneway Construction provides a specialist service to clients who want to construct a new home or alter, increase or improve the space they live in. It offers a wide range of services, including new house builds, extensions, renovations, roofing and reroofing, concreting and groundworks, resin stone and paving, garage and loft conversions, commercial fitouts, maintenance and other general building services.

When you build your dream home with Keaneway Construction, you are assured of the best advice and expertise at every stage of the build. The company has completed many new one-off builds across Co. Wexford and beyond, and prides itself in bringing unique character to your home.

Keaneway Construction has come a long way since it was set up by Justin Keane at the turn of the millennium (it has been a limited company since 2018). Hailing from a farming background, Justin worked for Kent Engineering in Wexford for five years and also worked on building sites in Germany and Australia before returning home in 2000.

“I started off doing roofing jobs before moving into plant hire and eventually turnkey new house builds,” he reveals.

“The quality of our work and our commitment to customer service are our two big selling points. The vast majority of our business is secured through recommendations and word of mouth. In most cases, the work comes to us.

“If you require a new build, we provide full project and site management, taking care of the entire project from groundwork to finished painting. This means you don’t have to deal with several different subcontractors, only with your architect and ourselves. Our work and testimonials speak for themselves.”

Outstanding workmanship, value-for-money and a commitment to working closely with clients to deliver total satisfaction are the hallmarks of Keaneway Construction. Health & Safety is also paramount. From concept to completion, Justin and his professional team are with you every step of the way, ensuring that your home is designed and built to your specific needs.

Keaneway Construction’s one-stop shop approach will ensure that both the design and building processes are smooth, comfortable and hassle-free. The Co. Wexford contractor’s reputation for quality construction and ability to complete the most challenging of projects on time and within the agreed budget is borne out by the high volume of repeat business and referrals it receives from architects / engineers and clients alike.

By employing highly-skilled people, working closely with design teams and using only the very best building products, this fully insured contractor is able to deliver the highest quality construction.

Justin is joined in the business by his wife Angela, who runs the office, and five direct employees who are supported by the same tried and tested subcontractors, including Stephen Crean Electrical, Brendan Butler Plumbing & Heating, Michael Wall Plumbing & Heating, Healthy Homes Ventilation, blocklayer Ger Walsh, and carpenters Nigel Brennan and James Kelly.

“We only work with reliable and qualified tradespeople who have proven themselves over the years,” Justin points out.

“So you can be assured of quality workmanship and completing the project on time, within budget and according to specifications.”

Justin’s main suppliers are Chadwicks Wexford, TJ O’Mahony in Wexford, Casey Concrete and Wexford Blocks. He also deals with engineers Martin Sweeney and Eamonn Larkin as well as architects Anthony Murphy (Millennium Design) and Fergus Flanagan (Fergus Flanagan Architects) on a regular basis.

“We enjoy an excellent relationship with all of our clients, suppliers, architects and engineers,” Justin proudly states.

Business is booming for Keaneway Construction whose current / recent projects are a mix of residential and commercial.

“We’re flat out at the moment,” the affable Wexford man reports.

“While residential projects account for most of our activity, we also do a small bit of commercial and agri civil works and drainage. We have many strings to our bow.

“All of our new homes are A-rated, high-end and well-designed. We’re traditional block builders, but are looking into getting into ICF (Insulated Concrete Formwork) in the future. Most of our projects are in and around Wexford Town. We’ve just finished a new house build in Ardcavan and have started a new 2,800 sq. ft. house on Newtown Road. We’re also carrying out two house extensions in Hayestown and Strandfield Manor along with reroofing projects in Wexford Town and just outside in Barntown.

“On the commercial side of things, we’re carrying out various works to Presentation Secondary School in Wexford and Glynn National School.”

As Keaneway Construction continues to go from strength to strength, Justin would like to take this opportunity to thank his clients, suppliers and design teams for their continued support as well as his staff and subcontractors for their hard work, dedication and expertise. He is also grateful for the support he receives at home from Angela, and children Sarah (12) and Tommy (10).

Here’s to the next 25 years!
