Donegal based Lynch Windows Ltd has undergone steady growth in recent years and General Manager Gavin Cullen spoke to Building Ireland about the many services that they provide to an impressive customer base.
Their client list reads like a who’s who of the public and private sectors as the OPW, HSE, LIDL, Applegreen, SuperValu, Coca Cola and many others have all taken advantage of Lynch Window’s excellent service.
Gavin revealed that the company is working at full capacity at the moment as their workforce has doubled from 16 to 32 in just the last few years.
“We are very busy at the moment. There are a number of projects ongoing around the country. Our clients are very busy, while we have also taken on new customers. There has been an upturn in the industry over the last few years that’s for sure,” said Gavin.
From their premises in Buncrana, County Donegal, Lynch Windows Ltd deliver exceptional commercial and residential uPVC and aluminium window and door solutions across the north west and beyond.
The company’s reputation for providing excellent products and a quality service precedes them for many years now, but that does not mean they can rest on their laurels when it comes to maintaining their standards.
“We are fortunate to have a very good customer base, but we also know that if we let our standards drop and they are not happy with our work, then they will just go elsewhere, so it is always our aim to try an improve on any areas that we can, whether that be through investing in the business or something else, we are always mindful that we have to try and keep improving.”
Lynch Windows Ltd are a premier window and door systems contractor, delivering unique, high-quality solutions to residential, commercial and mixed-use projects locally, nationally and internationally.
By achieving unrivalled levels of client satisfaction, resulting in a large volume of repeat business and positive referrals, Lynch Windows have seen their influence spread, resulting in prestigious projects being competed across Donegal, Ulster, Ireland and into the UK.
Despite the busy times, Gavin admits they are mindful of growing at their own pace and not going down the route of taking on too much too quickly like so many involved in the construction industry did to their detriment during the Celtic Tiger.
“We are growing at a pace that we want to grow and we are conscious of that. Like I said earlier, we are probably at our capacity now without investing heavily in the business. Dublin is probably busier now than it was during the boom. We could grow more if we wanted too, but we are happy with the way we are at the moment.”
Lynch Windows provide a full range of products including uPVC windows and doors, composite doors, sliding sash windows, alucad windows, aluminium windows, curtain wall systems, shop fronts, bi-fold doors, conservatories, roof lights and components and accessories. products and practices are guaranteed, independently certified and insured.
The company has a solid history of growth in the Irish market due to its experienced and skilled workforce, who excel in providing high-quality workmanship. A genuine one stop shop serving as a single point of contact, Lynch Windows offer an all-encompassing service covering everything from estimation / tendering and project specification and design through to fabrication and on-site installation. All projects are delivered within budget and on time.
Owner Pat Lynch who is Gavin’s uncle is still very much hands on in the business and he is out with one of the fitting crews on a daily basis.
There is a real family feel to the company, which customers like. “We’ve built it up gradually. We’re very hands-on ourselves with the business, which is important. Pat is always on-site and he does fitting himself. We keep a small team and they deliver high-quality work. Clients really appreciate the fact that myself and Pat are accessible, and they can come straight to us with any questions they might have.”
Their design team work with the client closely to ensure that they receive what they want and using the most up-to-date software and technology has helped them provide a more professional approach to a project.
“We would use BIM throughout the design process and it allows us to eradicate any problems before they happen which means the project can be completed on time and within budget.”
What is the key to maintaining this market-leading status? “Being accessible is a big one and keeping our overheads down in order to remain competitive. This includes manufacturing all our commercial products in-house.”
Gavin has full confidence in the products that they provide and he feels that there is a bright future ahead for Lynch Windows Ltd.
“We’ve exceeded our own expectations to an extent and the business is already bigger than we ever thought it would be, so we’re more than happy about that.
“Once we keep our existing customers happy and to take in some new contracts as well. We’ll keep our service levels high. We provide excellent products and pride ourselves on a really good finish. We tell our fitting teams to leave behind very neat, tidy and presentable jobs and they never let us down. We have great men working here and they play a key role in the success of the business.”
