McAleer & Rushe appointed to deliver landmark Purpose-Built Student Accommodation

3 Nov , 2025

McAleer & Rushe have been appointed to deliver a major Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) scheme for High Road West (Tottenham) Limited, located at The Printworks, 807 & 819–829 High Road, London N17.

The development, which comprises approximately 287 high-quality student rooms, will sensitively blend new build construction with the restoration of listed heritage assets along Tottenham High Road. Eleven student rooms will be created within the existing historic buildings fronting the High Road, with the remainder delivered within a striking new-build development to the rear.

Designed to foster community and wellbeing, the scheme will also feature extensive indoor and outdoor amenity spaces, landscaped gardens, and shared social areas for residents. The restoration of the listed buildings at 807 and 819–829 High Road will preserve and celebrate the original street frontage, ensuring a seamless connection between Tottenham’s rich history and its future growth.

Mark Diamond, Senior Director at McAleer & Rushe, said, “We’re thrilled to be delivering The Printworks, a landmark scheme that showcases our expertise in creating high-quality, sustainable student accommodation while celebrating and preserving local heritage.

“This development marks an exciting new chapter in the regeneration of Tottenham High Road, and we’re proud to be contributing much-needed student homes and modern spaces that enhance wellbeing and community for future generations.”

The Printworks PBSA is the latest in a series of high-profile student accommodation and mixed-use projects delivered by McAleer & Rushe across the UK, reflecting the company’s market-leading expertise in design, construction, and placemaking.
