The Irish Concrete Society has launched a series of Concrete Ticket courses for Spring / Summer 2018. The Concrete Ticket is a half-day course providing guidance on the correct handling, finishing, curing and ordering of concrete for construction. The course is suitable for those who are involved and responsible for the receiving, transporting, placing and finishing concrete after its arrival on site.
Over 220 people have now taken the course, have passed the test and are now eligible to hold a Concrete Ticket that will be valid for five years. With clients and specifiers now incorporating a requirement for the Concrete Ticket in specifications, the Society will increase the choice of course locations and dates as demands increase.
Speaking about the launch of this series of courses Chairman of the Society Jim Mansfield stated: “the latest edition of TII’s Specification for Road Works Series 1700 – Structural Concrete now requires operatives in concrete production and execution to have a Concrete Ticket card or equivalent. In response to this, the Irish Concrete Society will increase the availability of the courses during 2018 and beyond.”
Bookings can made individually through the website or as part of a group of 15 or more on a date and location that suits.
More information and booking details may be obtained from the dedicated booking website: www.concreteticket.ie.
