Newell Roofing provide a wide range of products and one of their most popular is the GreenCoat PLX Pro BT, which is a high quality roofing and cladding material produced by SSAB Swedish Steel and distributed across the UK and Ireland by Newell Roofing Products Limited.
This material is the greenest, high quality, colour coated steel used for exterior building applications such as Standing Seam Roof or wall cladding (also called Long Strip Roofing) and to product interlocking cassette panels. GreenCoat PLX Pro BT has been used extensively across Europe and due to its premium Nordic quality steel in the substrate, low temperatures and harsh environment do not compromise the material, which is why it is recognised worldwide as one of the best steels available on the market.
GreenCoat PLX Pro BT features a Bio-based Technology (BT) coating where a substantial portion of the traditional fossil oil is replaced by Swedish Rapeseed Oil, which is unique on the market. This patented BT coating offers not only environmental advantages but also increased performance.

From their 35,000sq ft premises, Newell Roofing Products Ltd have customers all across the country and Pat revealed that they are very busy at the moment.
“There is a lot of work on again and you can see that it is starting to spread outside Dublin. Cork is getting very busy as is Limerick, which is good to see.”
The quality products that Newell’s provide have gathered a larger audience in the last few years, due to the company’s appearances on such iconic TV shows as Channel 4’s Grand Designs and RTE’s Room to Improve.
“We received a number of calls after our products appeared on both shows. On Room to Improve, we featured on the episode where Dermot Bannon was overseeing the redevelopment of former Westmeath footballer Dessie Dolan’s home. It was great for us to get such recognition and it really helped get our name out there.
“This is a very competitive market and we have to maintain the standards that our customers expect from us and try to improve them where possible.”
To achieve those standards, a reliable, efficient and experienced work force is needed and Pat revealed that they were fortunate in that respect.
“There are 27 people employed many of who have been with the company for a number of years. We have a very good workforce and we place a massive emphasis on training, which helps the employees reach their potential which benefits everyone.”
