NJ Doyne excels with luxurious lakeside development

17 Dec , 2025

NJ Doyne Construction (Ireland) Ltd has surpassed itself with an exclusive development of spacious three- and four-bedroom detached A1-rated homes beside picturesque Lough Lene in Collinstown, Co. Westmeath.

Clog na Léinn affords the luxury of generous sites and a range of spacious house types to suit all walks of family life in a beautiful rural, lakeside setting. It is Ireland’s first A1 BER energy-rated housing development, designed and built with energy efficiency in mind. The homes include the latest exhaust air heat-pump and solar power generation systems, which utilise free and green energy to provide continuous comfort at a low ongoing cost. On hot summer days, or in the depths of winter, homeowners will enjoy a balanced and comfortable indoor climate.

Clog na Léinn homes are spacious and elegant, and finished to a very high specification throughout. The architect has created a stylish, low-maintenance environment, built for the well-balanced lifestyle of today’s connected families. All homes include a fully insulated garage space, high speed fibre optic broadband, and flexible study / hobby spaces which can be tailored to host work or leisure activities, depending on individual needs.

Each home is unique, spacious and offers a level of customisation to meet your lifestyle needs. They are move-in ready which means all appliances, such as fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, cooking range and microwave, are included. An interior designer is also available to help and assist buyers with decorating their home, whether that be in interior paint colour schemes, floor options or bathroom tile options.

Peaceful and tranquil, Clog na Léinn is located in the village of Collinstown in the ‘Hidden Heartlands’ of Ireland. This area is known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities, centred around the village community. Here, you can enjoy the rural quality of life with many amenities and services as well as excellent schools within a stone’s throw. Furthermore, the area is highly accessible by excellent motorways and road systems, and centred between Mullingar, Castlepollard, Delvin and Kells, which are all a short drive away.

NJ Doyne Construction (Ireland) Ltd is rightly proud of this exceptional development which is practically sold out and will serve as a template for further planned projects by the developer in the area.

“We started on site in 2019 and have 59 of the 63 houses sold, so it has been a great success,” enthuses project manager Alfie Devine.

“It’s the first development of its kind in the North Westmeath area and also Ireland’s first A1-rated housing development. It has attracted interest from all over the world. During Covid, we sold 10-12 houses overnight. It’s contemporary country living at its finest.

“Clog na Léinn epitomises the style of houses we build. They are all turnkey with a choice of finishes available. Another big selling point is the availability of fibre broadband and the option to convert a downstairs room into an office. A lot of the new owners are professional people who have done that. It allows them to work from home in a comfortable space.”

Alfie continues: “The houses aren’t overly priced – the value-for-money is in them when the workmanship, size, spacious gardens and location are taken into account. You are 15 minutes’ drive from the M4 and M3, and one hour and 10 minutes from the M50.

“This development has already given Collinstown and the local economy a massive boost. We are due to finish here at the end of the year and have another couple of developments in the area in the pipeline. We previously completed smaller developments in Multyfarnham and Collinstown. The plan is to move forward with the same style of house which may be slightly cheaper.”

As the local county councillor for the area, Alfie is fiercely proud of what it has to offer.

“We (Westmeath) are the Lake County which is a beautifully unspoiled part of the country where life moves at its own pace. Here in Collinstown, we are surrounded by Lough Lene, which is Ireland’s first Blue Flag inland lake, Lough Derravaragh and Lough Sheelin. You also have Tullynally Castle and Fore Abbey nearby. It’s a hidden gem waiting to be discovered,” the affable Castlepollard man says.

Superior workmanship, attention to detail, value-for-money and an unwavering commitment to Health & Safety are the hallmarks of NJ Doyne Construction (Ireland) Ltd. By employing highly-skilled people, working closely with its engineers and architects, and using only the very best building products, this fully insured contractor and property developer is able to deliver the highest quality construction.

Established by Noel Doyne, NJ Doyne is a family-run business with an exceptional track record of providing the highest quality civils and residential property development in Ireland and the UK.

“Noel is a native of Glenidan just outside Collinstown who moved over to England as a young man where he set up a successful civil works business in the late 1970s,” Alfie explains.

“He continues to specialise in heavy civils, water and rail works, and also runs a CSCS training centre. Noel has also carried out civil works around the Dublin area, including the Port Tunnel. He established the Irish arm of the business in 1997 which is more focused on property development.”

Based in Collinstown, NJ Doyne Construction (Ireland) Ltd employs up to 10 people directly who are supported and supplemented by the same tried and tested subcontractors. “We only use local subbies,” Cllr Devine points out.

“These include Joe Matthews Landscaping & Patios, Cathal Morgan of CM Electrical, plumber John Lennon, carpenters David Coleman, Barry O’Donnell and Derek Doyne (Noel’s nephew), Gerry Dolan Security Systems, L&D Tiling, fitter Andrew Ennis, plasterers John McLoughlin and Oliver Boylan, painter and decorator Eoin Murtagh, Larry Geoghegan of NES solar panels, Brendan Williams Roofing & Carpentry, Sean Dolan Tarmac and Nolan Engineering.

“Our main suppliers are McMyler Sawmills, TTFC Ltd, Owens Concrete, D&P Murphy, DPL, Kilmurray’s Hardware, Unipipe, Nolan Kitchens, NES and Quinn Roofing. We also enjoy an excellent working relationship with our architects, engineers and auctioneers. Louis Peppard of LMP Architects in Castletown-Geoghegan did a fantastic job on designing the Clog na Léinn development.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers, suppliers and design teams for their continued support as well as our staff and subcontractors for their dedication, hard work and expertise,” the project manager concludes.
