Pinebridge goes from strength to strength

9 Feb , 2022

Pinebridge is a young and dynamic design, construct and fitout specialist company based in Tallaght, Dublin 24. While it has only been trading since June 2018, its directors Ken McKenna and Peter McMahon have over 40 years’ combined industry experience.

Pinebridge has grown to be a national diversified general building and civil engineering contractor working across all major property sectors, including commercial office, retail, residential, hotels, hospitality, health and aged care, education and government. Its core areas of operations are fitout and refurbishment. The CIRI-registered company has a proven track record in delivering complex projects. With an experienced inhouse construction team, it specialises in working in joint-venture with partners and stakeholders to unlock opportunities.

As experts in end-to-end design, Ken, Peter and their small but highly-creative team are able to review how people use their current spaces, develop an inspiring new design, and deliver the project on time and on budget, with minimal business interruption. Pinebridge’s inhouse designers can help you define, develop and create destinations where your customers and staff will love spending time. From retail shop floors and office buildings to complex technology areas, their design process remains the same.

Pinebridge’s designers want to get inside your head to find out what your brand and corporate identity means to you, and also what inspires your customers and staff. From the initial design workshop, they can embody your brand and work ethos into an inspirational design for your space.

The Pinebridge team designs your spaces right down to the last detail. They will work with you and the end users to select the furniture, fabrics and finishes through design workshops, showroom / exhibition visits and tours of other inspirational spaces they’ve designed and worked on. The design is brought to life with concept drawings in the form of 2D sketches and 3D visualisations. This allows the designers to show you how your customers and staff will use the new space, where the furniture will be located and how the finishes all come together. At this stage, you’ll get a real understanding of what your new space will look like before they move to the construction phase.

Once the design is agreed upon, Pinebridge gets its construction team ready to go onsite. Comprehensive planning helps to get the job done right, the first time. The inhouse designers prepare a full drawings and specification package for their construction counterparts which includes floor plans, mechanical and electrical plans, and all drawings and details for bespoke joinery and furniture.

Pinebridge’s inhouse team of construction economists ensure your budget is sacred throughout all stages of design and construction. They offer clients bespoke value engineering services which can generate tangible savings by challenging the phasing of the project, the material choice selections, methodologies and, most importantly, offering you the best advice on life cycle costings.

At Pinebridge, they understand your business needs. Whether it’s a corporate office, shopfitting, a complex technology centre – brownfield or greenfield – they are known for innovation and value. From luxury houses to unique individual dwelling and apartments, Pinebridge loves to build havens for people to come home to. The company’s expertise spans all phases of the residential property cycle, from initial concept to planning, design, costing, construction, management and maintenance.

As a sister company of Nua Form Structures, Pinebridge’s civil engineering capabilities extend to reinforced concrete frames, formwork, ground remediation improvement schemes, construction of new road infrastructure and undertaking all aspects of underground utilities. The Dublin-based company can also find solutions to the most complex healthcare projects to allow clients to take care of the community.

“It has been a case of so far, so good. We’re extremely busy,” says Ken.

“We’re a one-stop shop for all your design, construction and fitout needs. Peter and I worked together in Precision Contracts for many years and made a lot of contacts in that time. But much of our work is secured through word of mouth and recommendations. We’re both quantity surveyors with a wealth of experience in the industry. We take a hands-on approach to every job and will go the extra mile to ensure our customers are 100% satisfied.

“Exceptional design and workmanship, attention to detail, value-for-money and a commitment to working closely with clients to deliver total satisfaction are the hallmarks of our business.”

Pinebridge is currently refurbishing a 75,000 sq. ft. logistics facility in Ballycoolin, Dublin 15 which will become JD Sports’ first dedicated Irish distribution centre. The refurb is being carried out on behalf of the property’s owner, Irish Life Investment Managers. The building will be occupied by JD Sports on a 10-year full repairing and insuring lease.

The company has also carried out refurbishments / office fitouts for Irish Life Investment Managers in Woodford Business Park, Fitzwilton Ltd in Beech Hill Office Campus, Moy Materials in Tallaght and The Digital Hub in Thomas Street, Dublin 8. High-end residential fitouts are also in high demand. In addition, it has undertaken design work for National Truck & Van Rental in Ballycoolin.

Nua Form Structures was also established in 2018 and is currently working in conjunction with Sisk on the 86-bed, five-storey Mark Street Apart-Hotel and Winthrop Engineering & Contracting on the Dub 2.2 and Dub 3 data centres. This business has grown to employ 15 people.

In summary, the Pinebridge team are dedicated, passionate and have the expertise and skill to deliver your projects on time and within budget. They would like to take this opportunity to thank the clients and suppliers for their continued support.
