Cymar Contracting’s turnkey fire stopping service enables clients to achieve the required fire safety compliance in their workplace and buildings. This encompasses installation of new fire doors, upgrading existing fire doors, fire compartmentation, emergency lighting, fire alarm and passive fire protection.
Cymar Contracting is a family-owned business directly managed by brothers Oliver and Francis O’Reilly, who between them have accumulated over 40 years’ experience overseeing large scale industrial, commercial and residential projects. Cymar Contracting was established in 2014 when Francis and Oliver returned to Ireland, having worked extensively in the construction industry overseas. Cymar works in partnership with clients, fire safety consultants and product manufacturers in delivering fire stopping services, provides a problem-solving methodology in pursuit of achieving the highest quality and safety standards. They are renowned for working diligently and for completing all projects to programme, with each one tailored to suit client’s needs whether that involves working within a live building, a refurb or a new build.
In conjunction with their partners and armed with extensive experience, knowledge and expertise, Cymar Contracting provide complete fire compartmentation construction; passive fire protection; fire door installation; boarded fire protection systems; fire barrier & curtain installation; intumescent mortar compound installation; intumescent wraps and collar installation; intumescent painting; fire alarm installation; emergency lighting installation; and fire door surveys.
Cymar is an approved installer of Kingspan Safire passive fire products. All products are installed as per manufacturer’s instructions and fully certified. Using the SiteWorks app, Cymar provides detailed photographic evidence before, during and after each stage of the project. A comprehensive report from this app is forwarded to the client upon completion.
The manufacturer’s sales agent (SIG Ireland – the largest provider of specialist building products on the island) are also fully involved for the duration of each project. SIG technical experts provide site inspections and tailored recommendations with bespoke designs when applicable.
Upon completion, SIG Ireland and Cymar Contracting provide Certificates of Compliance with confirmation that all works have been carried out to the manufacturer’s exact recommendations.
In parallel to the aforementioned, Cymar has also developed long standing working relations with many of Ireland’s leading construction companies providing all types of carpentry services to the educational, residential, and industrial sectors. All Cymar carpenters are fully qualified, motivated, vastly experienced and imbued with a keen eye for detail.
Across the full scope of their multifaceted works, incorporating new builds, refurbs, fit outs, carpentry and fire stopping services, Cymar Contracting has forged lasting relationships with numerous prestigious clients including SSE Airtricity, PwC, Delata Hotels Group, Glenveagh Homes, CBRE, Grant Thornton, John Paul Construction, Ardmac and Walls Construction to mention a selection. Completed landmark projects include the Marina Village and Clancy Quay residential developments in Greystones, County Wicklow and Islandbridge, Dublin respectively. In addition to this Cymar completed a number of various apartment complexes throughout Dublin city including a 150-apartment residential scheme for Walls Construction in Cabinteely and a large mixed use development in Cardiff Lane as well as the renovation works to The Priory building.
Supplementing this, some recent main-contractor residential construction projects include a new build home in Two Mile House, Kildare, house extensions in Knocklyon and a new crèche which was recently completed in Ashford, County Wicklow.
Some current carpentry projects include 250 apartments in Cabra for Walls Construction, a 450 apartment residential projects in Stillorgan / Sandyford for John Paul Construction. In addition to the aforementioned projects Cymar has been retained by Ardmac and Bohan Hyland & Associates to complete fitout and fire stopping projects respectively.
