Ciaran McArdle, of Dublin based Cogent Associates was recognized as Project Manager of the Year, at the Fit-Out Awards 2017 held during November 2017. Launched in 2012, the Fit-Out Awards set the benchmark for excellence in the design and delivery of world-class fit outs projects in Ireland.
With over 18 years’ experience and a member of the Association of Project Management, Ciaran has led and successfully delivered several key commissions across different sectors, most notably the multi-award winning headquarters building for Central Bank of Ireland, which was handed over in March 2017.
Cogent Associates were commissioned by the Central Bank of Ireland in June 2012 to support their internal Property Team and lead the Design Team and the Contractor to deliver this development. The extensive project management services included; Acquisition Due Diligence, Project Management, Public Procurement Management and Move Management, for which Ciaran led a Cogent Associates’ team of up to seven project managers.
Ciaran noted that “A major challenge on the project was the extensive coordination between internal/external stakeholders, the Central Bank Workstream Managers and the Design Team, to ensure that the Client’s Requirements were delivered upon, whilst maintaining the critical programme milestones.”
“This award is a highlight in my career so far and I am delighted that the judging panel recognized the quality of the project management services that were delivered over several projects i.e. Thomas Street Student Accommodation the Squarespace office fitout etc. Overall, it was a great team effort and a privilege to work closely with great Clients and Project Teams. To receive this award in front of my peers was also great”.

The business has grown by over 40% in 12-18months, during which time I’ve been lucky enough to work with some great Clients i.e. Marlet Property Group and Hattington Student Accommodation; on interesting and challenging projects, which is a great positive in attracting the right people, as we further build upon our recent successes this year”.
