Established in 2006, Eleco Electrical Services Ltd is an Electrical and security installations company. Serving the industrial, commercial and domestic market. Eleco Electrical Services has earned its reputation as a company which continually strives to achieve greater standards of quality and efficiency. Eleco offers its customers the highest professional service and bespoke tailor-made solutions.
Building Ireland caught up with founder Paudie McCarthy recently to learn all about the thriving Munster-based business.
It had been the vision for Paudie McCarthy when he first set-up his business venture close to a decade-and-a-half ago, as the Co Kerry native explained to Building Ireland recently.
“We started Eleco Electrical Services Ltd in 2006 and by 2009 we had built up a good enough maintenance base and it allowed us to give an end to end service, essentially offering, a one stop shop for all their electrical and security needs.” Paudie outlined.
Clients range from one-off bespoke housing to heavy industrial contracts and, from the beginning; it has been the policy of Eleco Electrical Services Ltd to deliver the highest standard of quality service to all customers on time, regardless of their size or monetary value.
Typical clients for Eleco Services Ltd are Pharmaceutical, Hospitals, Nursing homes, and Airports with a lot off Electrical & Security work going on throughout the south of the country at the present time.
The company enjoys excellent relationships with repeat customers, consultants & architects who rely on its services on a constant basis.
Security is now a huge facet of the business and, with seven service vans on the road, Eleco Electrical Services Ltd has established itself as one of the most professional and effective security companies in the Irish Market place.
Eleco Services Ltd has to date completed projects both locally and nationwide and are always in position to offer a full range of services and bespoke solution to existing and prospective clients.
At Eleco Electrical Services Ltd, they have always prided themselves on a high standard of workmanship, ethical behaviour and safety, as such, they’ve achieved the ISO 9001 Quality Management System from the early stages of set up and achieved licensing with the Private Security Authority as well as many other authorities.
The way Paudie sees it, the company’s greatest asset is its staff and so he invests in them by continually up-skilling them. They are constantly striving to achieve greater standards of quality and efficiency and ensuring that all customers are satisfied with the completed works.
“We currently have four apprentices on our books at various levels and are eager to pass on our expertise to the next generation of electricians.”
For Paudie, “the electrical game”, as he puts it, is what he has always known best.
“I’ve worked in the electrical industry for 25 years and have been travelling all over the country with all types of projects,” he said.
“It was challenging starting a business in 2006 but we got it off the ground quickly achieved the ISO 9001 and focused on building alliances with both customers & suppliers.”
Fast-forward some 14 years later and the company is thriving, and the love of the game is not weaning.
Last year was the company’s strongest yet business-wise, according to the Managing Director.
“We have a lot of repeat business here with the same clients and I suppose that’s a good sign that they keep coming back to us, our clients have been instrumental in our growth as the majority of new customers coming through referrals.
“Right now, we’re involved in a 75-bed nursing home in Castleisland and we recently just finished work on the new Kerry GAA Centre of Excellence. These projects include complete electrical installation, Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access control, Nurse call stations, Disabled access & call systems and full data installations.’
“We also have a varied selection of projects ongoing with Kerry Airport and Audi Europe to name just a few.”
Health & Safety is a major aspect for Eleco Services Ltd as they insist on safety being a priority on all projects in which they are involved with.
“All our staff of the company’s staff are trained in Manual handling, Abrasive wheels, Working at Heights and Safe pass trained. Site foremen have trained in first aid and are encouraged to follow a high level of safe practices on all projects.
“We are members of Safe Electric and have four registered certifiers on our team currently.”
Eleco also has its own trained PSCS personnel, ensuring confidence for your customers in the ‘type of business they are dealing with.
Always offering the highest professional service and bespoke solutions in the industry, the plan for Eleco Services Ltd is to keep on growing as it gets set to mark 15 years in existence in 2021.
“The target is to have continued growth and take up on last year. It’s been growth year on year for the last couple of years so hopefully that continues for us,” Paudie concluded.
These are busy times for Eleco Electrical Services Ltd and the plan for Paudie McCarthy and Co. down around Killarney, Co Kerry is to keep things that way right through to 2021.
