Trading for over 60 years, the family-run, award-winning business combines strong traditional values of skilled craftsmanship with modern materials, building techniques and strong business management.

Established in 1953 by Bernard McAleer and Terence Teague, McAleer & Teague is nowadays run by Terence’s sons Ciaran and Dominic. Priding itself on the values of quality, flexibility, rapid response and reliability, the company continues to go from strength to strength with a staff of over 70 on its books and an increasing business turnover. Whether they are working on small, bespoke works or a large-scale project, the McAleer & Teague team are focused on setting the highest standard for construction services.

The team is made up of a group of passionate professionals who have extensive experience in the industry that meet the complex needs of their customers.  McAleer & Teague delivers buildings of the highest calibre, on time and on budget. The company has a proven track record on a wide range of projects in the commercial, education, healthcare, restoration and community / leisure areas.

“Most of our work is concentrated in the public sector,” Ciaran Teague explains.

“We work all over Ireland and have a strong and proud history of carrying out high-profile, prestigious contracts. One of the beauties of our company is that we operate our own joinery which allows us to deliver the highest quality bespoke doors, windows, staircases and related products to every job we undertake.”

Synonymous with quality, safety and efficiency, McAleer & Teague has adopted a collaborative approach to successfully complete projects for a range of private and public sector organisations. The company works closely with the client and professional team to ensure that timescales and budgets are adhered to and amendments to plan are easily incorporated into the schedule. Every contract undertaken is tailored to suit the requirement of the client.

“We strive to be the leader in what we do, giving the client the benefits of our experience and uniqueness. We aim to offer value for money and deliver work of the highest standard, on time and within budget. A strong emphasis on health & safety and the environment are also at the heart of our business,” Ciaran continues.

One of McAleer & Teague’s key assets is its in-house specialist joinery workshop facility in Dromore, which is staffed by experienced machine men and bench hands who have established an enviable reputation for manufacturing quality joinery with a high degree of craftsmanship and reliability. All products made are for in-house use only, allowing the company to focus directly on the needs of its construction projects, product testing, client inspection and quality control.

The Co. Tyrone firm operates a robust supply chain due diligence process and is committed to employing the best local labour and engaging the best suppliers. The company only uses contractors who have a proven track record in delivering to the standards that it and its clients expect. Over 90 per cent of McAleer & Teague’s work is delivered by its 50 tired and tested ‘Category One’ supply chain members. They meet the company’s most stringent requirements for quality, skills and experience, environmental standards and health & safety. Such relationships have introduced strong lines of communication, knowledge transfer, standardisation, pre-fabrication, Lean Thinking and Value Management and Engineering processes to ensure best value in project delivery.

A Supplier Charter has been developed which not only reflects the company’s commitments and expectations towards it supply chain, but also the approach and behaviour that it expects of suppliers to adopt. This approach delivers true value to the client.
