The third-generation business’ skilled workforce have a wealth of experience between them and work together to deliver each project to the highest standard. Each team member constantly brings their own expertise to the table with their respective qualifications such as project management and the different trades and Kevin, who is a qualified Civil Engineer and also Killian who is currently studying in the same field. “Our aim is to make your dream home become a reality” Kevin Nally says.

“We are focused on delivering a quality service and having the client at the centre of each project. Our versatility allows us to carry out a wide range of projects. We’re committed to carrying on the family tradition of building excellence, while embracing new technologies and innovation.”

Outstanding workmanship, attention to detail, value-for-money and a commitment to working closely with clients to deliver total satisfaction are the hallmarks of the family-run business. Health & Safety is at the core of operations, and never more so than in the aftermath of Covid-19. From concept to completion, the Nally team are with you every step of the way, ensuring that your new project is delivered to your specific needs.

The Galway contractor’s reputation for quality construction and ability to complete projects on time and within the agreed budget is borne out by the high volume of repeat business and referrals it receives from designers and scores of satisfied clients.

By employing highly-skilled people, working closely with engineers and architects, and using only the very best building products, M Nally & Sons is able to deliver the highest quality construction to its clients. The company’s main suppliers are Joyce’s Hardware, Brooks, T O’Higgins Homevalue Hardware, Michael Cooney & Sons, Moylough Concrete and Cannon Concrete Products. Among the engineers and architects they collaborate with on a regular basis are PHE Engineering & Architecture, Shane Hanniffy & Associates and Patrick J Newell Consulting Engineers.

M Nally & Sons is currently carrying out five new house builds in Barna (two), Clarinbridge, Claregalway and Corrandulla. The houses it builds are typically 2,500-3,500 sq. ft. in size and have high energy performance ratings. “The focus nowadays is very much on air tightness, sustainability and cost-effective homes,” Kevin explains.

One of their standout achievements was a project completed in Galway city in 2014. This project, designed by Simon McGuinness Architects, was a 1960s semi-detached townhouse renovation. The client’s brief was to achieve a house that was as energy efficient as possible. Upon completion, the house tested at 0.37 air changes per hour and achieved passive house rating. This achievement meant it was the first certified fully passive retrofit house to be completed on the island of Ireland.

The cost of building materials has sky-rocketed in the last two years and this is being acutely felt in the new build sector. “Covid and rising inflation have put a strain on everyone. We’ve had to renegotiate prices on some projects due to escalating costs. But I think the price of some materials is finally starting to level off. Hopefully, we’ll see a gradual decrease in 2023,” Kevin adds.

Passionate about construction, M Nally & Sons would like to take this opportunity to thank its clients, suppliers and designers for their support as well as its staff and sub-contractors for their hard work, dedication and expertise.
