TP Gas Services Plumbing & Heating Ltd will celebrate 30 years in business in 2017. Over the past three decades, the Limerick-based company – which recently relocated to the Dock Road – has become known for its reliability and superb aftercare service.
Serving domestic, commercial and industrial clients, TP Gas Services boasts a large and prestigious customer-base which includes the likes of Gas Networks Ireland and Limerick City and County Council. Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to the family-run operation which has grown to employ 14 staff and has a fleet of 10 vehicles covering the Mid-West. The successful plumbing and heating business was established by Tony Payne, who remains a director along with his wife Catherine and son David, and was a representative for all gas installers in the region at national level for many years.

The Limerick firm’s two main clients are Gas Networks Ireland and Limerick City and County Council. As their only sub-contractor in Limerick and serving the Mid-West, TP Gas Services performs a range of vital work on behalf of Gas Networks Ireland such as domestic, commercial and industrial gas commissioning and gas meter fitting. The company always has two team members on call 24/7, 365 days a year in order to carry out leak response work. The leak response unit serves Limerick City, Co. Limerick, Ennis, Shannon, Killaloe, Ballina, Newport, Nenagh and Charleville.
Limerick City and County Council is another valued client for whom TP Gas Services has been carrying out gas installation and servicing for many satisfied customers over the past few years. As with Gas Networks Ireland, a 24-hour emergency service is provided on behalf of the local authority. TP Gas Services also has servicing and installation contracts with Ireland’s leading housing association, Respond Housing, and Limerick Regeneration to name but two.

In addition, the company is a registered installer with the SEAI under the Better Energy Homes Scheme. The purpose of the Scheme is to encourage people to improve the energy performance of their homes by incentivising the cost of installing various upgrade measures. It aims to give assistance to homeowners to reduce their energy use, heating costs and greenhouse gas emissions. The Scheme not only results in warmer and more energy efficient homes, but also saves the owner money on their heating bills in the long run.
TP Gas Services’ recent move to a new premises means the company is better placed than ever to serve the needs of its clients.
“We’ve relocated to Ashbourne Business Park from Lansdowne Park. Apart from being a better location, the premises is much more spacious and gives us scope to grow the company further in the coming years,” David concludes.
