Walls Construction has announced a new partnership with the Mater Hospital Foundation, marked by a generous €75,000 donation, in a significant show of support for patients, families, and healthcare workers in the heart of Dublin.
The collaboration, which marks Walls’ 75th anniversary, reflects a shared commitment to building a stronger, healthier future for the local community and beyond.
Titled “Project 75: Building Blocks of Care”, the initiative will fund urgent supports for patients, including comfort care packs for ICU and dignity packs for vulnerable homeless patients, and enable improvements to essential hospital spaces. Every year, thousands of families from across Dublin and beyond rely on the care provided at the Mater Hospital – Project 75 will help ensure that care is delivered with greater dignity, comfort, and support.
Walls Construction was founded in 1950 within walking distance of the Mater. This collaboration is not only timely but deeply rooted in a shared legacy of service and support in Dublin’s north inner city.
“We’ve long admired the life-saving work happening every day at the Mater Hospital. Supporting the Foundation is an opportunity for us to invest in something that truly matters – people’s health and wellbeing and it is a meaningful way for us to give back to the community that shaped our business, as we celebrate our 75th year in business,” said Frank Kelly, Executive Chairman of Walls Construction.
The Mater Hospital Foundation and Walls Construction will work together over the coming year on a series of initiatives that spotlight the power of corporate partnerships to drive meaningful change in healthcare.
Speaking about this important initiative, Róisín Duffy, Director of Development, Mater Hospital Foundation said, “We are so thankful to have the support of Walls Construction as we launch Project 75. This partnership shows Walls’ deep commitment not just to building for the future, but also to supporting the people at the heart of our community. Their support will make a meaningful difference for the patients and families who rely on the Mater Hospital every day.”
This partnership is a testament to what can be achieved when businesses and charities unite behind a shared purpose, to care for our city and the people in it.
