Founded in January 2014 by Chris Moran and Mick Freney, Western Ceilings & Partitions Ltd offers an exceptional service in dry lining, metal partitions, MF and grid ceilings, insulation, plastering and tape and jointing.
Based in Galway city, the company has established itself as a leading interior specialist by providing a high quality, professional and price-competitive service. The company prides itself on its top-class workmanship, highly-skilled staff and attention to detail.
The repeat business it receives is testament to the quality of its work. While Western Ceilings & Partitions is less than six years old, its two directors have well over 30 years’ combined experience in the sector.
“We had both worked for a leading ceiling contractor for 10 years when we decided to go out on our own,” Chris Moran explains. “We had a wealth of experience behind us at that stage and felt that we could provide a service that was better than any that was already out there. We’ve since grown to employ over 20 staff – both directly and indirectly – and have earned a reputation for quality, reliability and value-for-money. Any job we undertake is finished on time and within budget.”
The company’s wide range of skills and experience allows it to deliver on all types of projects and to exceed customers’ expectations. It can install ceilings and partitions in any domestic, retail or commercial setting using the best materials and finishes required by the customers.
Western Ceilings & Partitions works with fully qualified tradesmen and carpenters to provide the client with a quality and fully-certified finish.
“We’re good at what we do and our portfolio and growing client-base would back this up,” Chris continues. “We work in both the private and public sectors, from private houses to schools, nursing homes, car showrooms and hotels. No job is too big or too small. We have forged excellent working relationships with some of the leading main contractors in the country and give them the personal attention they deserve. We also place a strong emphasis on health & safety. The amount of repeat business we receive reflects well on us as a company.”
A ‘hands-on’ approach has also been a factor in the Galway firm’s success according to Mick Freney. “Chris and I are onsite every day. We’re always visible, always contactable and available, and this is something the client appreciates. It also gives them peace of mind. We have a good crew who take great pride in the quality of their work. But like in any business, you’re only ever as good as your last job,” he says.
