Celebrating 10 years in business, JP Moran Construction Ltd is leading the way in high-end construction on Dublin’s Southside. Managing director Jeffrey Moran explains more about his successful business which specialises in private renovations, extensions and new builds.
A native of Tullow, Co. Carlow, now living in nearby Shillelagh, Co. Wicklow, Jeffrey is a third-generation builder who can draw on more than 50 years’ experience in all aspects of construction. Like his father Pat and grandfather Paddy before him, Jeffrey is a plasterer by trade who is also adept in carpentry, bricklaying and groundworks.
“As a general building contractor, you need to be able to do a bit of everything,” he says.
“I come from a family of plasterers and started out as a sole trader doing plastering. I then went into a partnership before moving to London after the recession hit. My wife Marguerite and I spent three years over there before returning home and setting up this company in 2015. We have completed numerous high-end residential projects since then and are proud of our reputation for exceptional work, reliability and attention to detail.
“We work together with our customers, professional teams and supply chain to deliver the best possible job, on time and on budget. Our quality service separates us from the competition as we consistently exceed expectations.”
High-end finishes, superior workmanship, value-for-money, an unwavering commitment to Health & Safety and working closely with clients to deliver total satisfaction are the hallmarks of JP (Jeffrey Patrick) Moran Construction. From concept to completion, Jeffrey and his expert team are with you every step of the way, ensuring that your new project is designed and built to your specific needs and to the highest standard.
Whether your next project is a renovation, extension or new build, JP Moran Construction’s one-stop shop approach will ensure that both the design and building processes are smooth, comfortable and hassle-free. The Sandyford, Dublin 18-based contractor’s reputation for high quality construction and ability to complete projects on time and within the agreed budget is borne out by the high volume of repeat business and referrals it receives from design teams and scores of satisfied customers.
By employing highly-skilled people, working closely with its subcontractors, engineers and architects, and using only the very best building products, this fully-insured company is able to deliver the highest quality construction.
Jeffrey is joined in the business by four direct employees who are supported and supplemented by the same tried and trusted subcontractors, including Barry Gilbourne Heating & Plumbing, SJS Electrical and PBC Painters. Jeffrey’s main suppliers are Chadwicks, Brooks Thomas, Roadstone and Dan Morrissey & Company, while the architects he collaborates with on a regular basis are O’Mahony Pike Architects, Aleyn Chambers Architect, MVK Architects, PLA Architects, Extend Architects and Dermot Brennan Architect.
Jeffrey has completed a number of prestigious bespoke residential projects across South Dublin ranging from €1m to €2m in value. He is currently carrying out a renovation with a double storey extension at The Rise, Mount Merrion, a large extension in Bohernabreena and a new build in Deansgrange.
“We have a fantastic team,” the affable building contractor points out.
“I’m very fortunate to have a highly-skilled group of tradespeople around me who can turn their hand to any job. I have great confidence in them to achieve the high standards we demand on every project.
“Our finishes are exceptionally high. I’m very finicky about doing things right. That comes from my father whose advice was ‘to always think of the man coming behind you’. Above all else, our unique selling point is the amount of referrals and repeat business we get. It’s an indication that we are doing something right. We come highly-recommended.
“Word of mouth from satisfied customers is our biggest source of business. We understand that relationships are key and our clients are our most valued asset. We choose our business partners carefully and nurture good relationships. We are experienced in all aspects of private home building and commercial premises, and all traditional building techniques.”
Jeffrey adds: “Our most recent work has focused on period buildings with contemporary extensions created to suit the modern-day family. We’ve also gained experience in building stylish garden pods as a solution to the demand for extra guest space, home offices etc., and are very excited about ongoing developments in this area.”
Jeffrey and his team are highly-skilled craftsmen who bring their love and appreciation for excellent work, tradesmanship and finishes to all projects. As his company continues to go from strength to strength, Jeffrey would like to take this opportunity to thank his clients, suppliers and design teams for their continued support as well as his staff and subcontractors for their hard work, dedication and expertise.
Here’s to the next 10 years!
