In November last, CBRE Ireland won the Fit Out Project Management Firm of the Year at the annual Fit Out Awards at Dublin’s Clayton Hotel. Building Ireland heard all about the success from David McConnell, Executive Director and Head of Building Consultancy at the company.
When David McConnell joined CBRE Ireland back in 2014, he was part of a team of six in its Dublin base.
Since that time, they’ve built the team up to almost 30 members and CBRE Ireland now has offices in Dublin, Cork and Belfast, as well as over 750 staff across all service lines, including CBRE GWS.

“When I joined in 2014, we were coming out of a global recession and the construction industry was beginning to grow again in Ireland, so it was great time to join and by securing some landmark projects meant we were able to accelerate our growth strategy. McConnell himself has been involved in the construction industry 20 years now and he previously worked in London and Qatar before joining CBRE Ireland in 2014.

November 27th saw CBRE Building Consultancy reign supreme in the Fit Out Project Management Firm of the Year section and mark yet another award success for the company.
Members of the CBRE team were on hand at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin on the night to proudly collect the award on the company’s behalf.
“Our team has been a huge part of the success and continued growth and I have to say that the Managing Director (of CBRE Ireland, Myles Clarke) has been hugely supportive since Day One,” the Executive Director and Head of Building Consultancy concluded.
