Ronan had worked in Australia as a carpenter before returning home to set up the business with his father Brendan, who is a roofer by trade and previously ran Scally Construction from Ballinagar in Co. “We originally specialised in roof repairs and maintenance before branching into extensions, renovations and one-off new builds,” Ronan explains.
“While we’re predominantly involved in the domestic sector, we’ve undertaken some commercial work in care facilities and for LOETB (Laois Offaly Education and Training Board). If more opportunities to work in the commercial sector come along, we certainly won’t refuse them. But at the moment, we’re very busy with domestic work.
“We currently have 18 different projects ongoing, including a couple of new builds in the Tullamore area. The one-off builds typically range from 2,000 to 3,000 sq. ft. in size.”
He continues: “Having our own carpenters means we get a lot of high-end work. We’re a one-stop shop for all your construction needs.”
