Bespoke Designs for You

27 Aug , 2021

Homextend Ltd is a leading home extension and renovations specialist with an outstanding reputation for elegant and bespoke designs.

The Ashbourne, Co. Meath-based company has gone from strength to strength since it was set up by Denis Gray in 2018. Homextend offers complete packages that are tailor-made for the client, including design, build and completion of your energy efficient home. Its designs are bespoke for homeowners to create a home space that gives them the confidence to entertain, even at the last minute, so that they never miss an opportunity to create lasting memories with family and friends.

“We’re a one-stop shop for all your design and build needs,” Homextend founder and owner Denis Gray explains.

“Our goal is to help homeowners improve the space they live in and realise its full potential with distinctive and efficient design. In many cases, this requires creating additional space. We look after every project from start to finish. We’re all about the client and making sure their project is a stress-free and enjoyable experience.”

Superior workmanship, attention to detail, value-for-money and a commitment to working closely with clients to deliver total satisfaction are the hallmarks of Homextend. Health & Safety is at the core of the business, and never more so than in this COVID-19 age. From concept to completion, Denis and his team are with you every step of the way, ensuring that your new project is designed and built to your specific needs, and that there are no hidden or extra costs involved.

Whether your next project is an extension or renovation, Homextend’s one-stop shop approach will ensure that both the design and building processes are smooth, comfortable and hassle-free. The Ashbourne contractor’s reputation for quality construction and design, and ability to complete projects on time and within the agreed budget, is borne out by the high volume of recommendations and referrals it receives from satisfied clients.

“Most of our work is secured through word of mouth. Last year, we took on a job in Clondalkin and it led to us doing a lot of work in the same housing estate. Word got around quickly. Our work is concentrated in Dublin and surrounding counties where we’ve completed some high-end extensions and renovations. We’ve carried out projects in Sutton, Swords, Beaumont, Finglas and Tallaght, and have plenty of work waiting for us when the latest lockdown ends.”

When it comes to restyling your kitchen or living area, Homextend has few equals. Having initially manufactured his own kitchen units, Denis now teams up with Colin Maher Design (formerly Kitchen Craft) to bring you a choice of beautiful and modern kitchen designs. A fifth-generation cabinet maker, Colin started his own business at 21 and has since acquired a wealth of experience within the kitchen and custom-fitted furniture industry.

Denis also collaborates with Helen Fields from House of Tiles on many of his projects. “Helen puts together a package for the supply and fitting of tiles, painting and decorating,” he explains.

“We have a small, but committed staff of four who work well as a team. We sub-contract the plumbing and electrical to the same tried and trusted tradesmen. By employing highly-skilled people, working closely with leading architects and engineers, and using only the very best building products, we’re able to deliver the highest quality construction and design to our clients.

“I’m very hands-on and you’ll either find me or my new site manager Paul Keena onsite. It’s the only way to keep on top of things.”

A carpenter by trade and a native of Donaghmede, Denis studied Project Management in DIT (now TUD) during the recession and this has stood him in good stead. He has ambitious plans for his company and is hoping to branch into new one-off builds in the near future.

“I’m expecting a boom in the type of work we specialise in after lockdown and that it will provide an opportunity for us to grow the business. The biggest problem at the moment is the scarcity of good tradesmen. They’re very hard to come by. We’re rebranding our logo and have a new website on the way, which will hopefully make more people aware of our service.”

Denis would like to take this opportunity to thank his customers and suppliers for their continued support, and his staff for their hard work, dedication and expertise. For a free consultation, contact him on the numbers below.
