C&D Providers – Serious about Service

24 Apr , 2020

No matter how experienced someone can be in the construction industry, there always comes a time when we need advice on certain products to use, whether it be the cost, quality or both, there are situations when that expert advice can be invaluable.

There is no doubt that this sort of advice can be obtained at C&D Providers whose team at Larkin’s Cross, Wexford strive to ensure they have the right answer for their customer.

“Our team have a genuine interest in our customer’s needs and embrace the challenge to find a solution to their requirements. We place a huge emphasis on training and upskilling our people which is evident throughout the HPC Group with our training facility in Ballymount. We feel that by consistently providing various training we are best placed to provide our customers with the advice they need,” said Neil Roche.

C&D Providers’ customer base is growing all the time, even though it is established coming up on 50 years now as General Manager Neil Roche explained to Building Ireland that they are dealing with generations of families at this stage.

“We would have a lot of customers that would be second and even third generation of families that would be coming into us, which is great to see,” said Neil.

“There has been a reputation developed here of being able to give the customers what they want at a price that they can afford and what best suits their needs.

Neil added that the customer base covers a wide range of people right through the building trade from DIY enthusiasts to self-build to developers and major construction firms.

“Business would be done here with a wide range of customers and we provide the same level of service to everyone regardless of what they are buying.

“The team here are always asked for advice and they are only too happy to help. With the experience that many of our team have, they will come up with a solution to any query that someone may come in with. There are a massive range of products stocked here and there is a good chance that we will have what they are looking and if not we strive to attain it.”

To cater for their large customer base and growing business, C&D Providers have three full-time trucks on the road doing deliveries as well as a plumbing delivery van. C&D Providers Ltd is part of the HPC Group(Home Project Centre). HPC is a 100% privately owned Irish business which was formed in 2012 as part of a management buyout of the builders’ providers/DIY business from Moritz Holdings, a large property development and trading business.

Following the management buyout the business was successfully restructured and has enjoyed considerable success over the past few years and has grown to become the number one privately owned Irish business in the builders’ merchant/home improvement sector in the country.

The branches are widespread within HPC and are C&D Providers Wexford, 7 TJ O’Mahoney branches located in Ballymount, Glasnevin, Kilshane Co. Dublin along with Arklow Co. Wicklow, Oranmore and Gort, Co. Galway, Cahir Co. Tipperary along with McCarthy’s Hardware based in Prosperous Co. Kildare and Commons Hardware, Navan Co. Meath.

HPC have PH Ross plumbing and sanitary outlets based in Cabra and Bluebell and with an eye to ever expanding and looking for new or different markets have a Timber and Panel Products outlet in Ballymount.

“Being part of the HPC Group allows us to work closely with the other branches and give whatever support is needed to each other. Our Business Development Manager Seamus Flynn covers all the branches and he has helped grow all the branches through working together”.

C&D Providers cater for every section of the building trade and the latest addition to their range is T&PP (Timber and Panel Products). C&D Providers are predominately a builders providers supplying their large customer base with everything from timber, roofing, bricks and insulation to bathrooms, doors and floors.

Their services also include a Home & Garden Centre. They also have an exclusive range of Home & Garden Furniture and Equipment for all seasons.

The company prides itself on providing nothing but the best to their customers and they go to great lengths to source the best products available at the right price.

There are many regulations and legislations to be met in the building trade today and to this end C&D endeavour to meet those requirements by supplying only products that are deemed to meet those standards.

If a customer is building, renovating, extending or making some home improvements C&D Providers promise to make their task that little bit easier as they can offer expert advice on what products or materials would best suit the customers’ needs.

“We are always introducing deals and special offers for our customers, which I think they appreciate a great deal. People are always on the look out for a bargain and we consistently run our Super Saturday Sales along with seasonal flyers where we would have a big reduction in some of our stock.”

There is no doubt that the relationship between the C&D staff and the customers is one of the main reasons for the success that they have experienced over the years and Neil concluded by stressing that this was something that they would continue to do for many years to come.“We have a loyal and long standing customer base to compliment our new and ever expanding new customers and it would like to thank them for that loyalty”
