Both are bricklayers by trade who worked in their father Finbar’s building firm for many years on a variety of projects. Its main suppliers are Chadwicks in Drogheda (formerly Eddie’s Hardware) and P Carberry Sand & Gravel in Collon, Co. Louth. Furthermore, the company has an array of machinery, including diggers, telehandlers and dumpers, to carry out its own civils and groundworks.

Dardis Construction is currently working on a number of exciting projects. These include home renovations in Ashbourne, Rathfarnham and Clogherhead (holiday home) and a new build in Lordship. The contractor has also recently completed renovations in Terenure and Dundalk, and a new build in Togher, Co. Louth.
“The average size of our one-off new builds is 2.500 sq. ft. Houses are getting bigger, despite the rising costs. Thankfully, material costs have settled down a bit. What we’re finding is that people are building later in life because of the costs involved,” Shane explains.
