LotusWorks, the Sligo-founded engineering and technical services company, has raised €25,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation through a series of employee-led fundraising initiatives in 2025. The total was formally presented this week, marking the close of the company’s fundraising activities for the year.
This latest achievement brings the total raised by LotusWorks for Make-A-Wish to €50,000 over the past two years, underlining the company’s sustained commitment to community engagement. The funds raised are distributed across Make-A-Wish chapters in both Ireland and the United States to ensure meaningful local impact in the regions where LotusWorks employees are based. The contribution supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s mission to grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illnesses.
Speaking about the company donation, LotusWorks CEO Joseph Leydon said: “At the heart of this effort is a strong culture of giving back, driven by a people-first ethos that values connection, purpose and shared impact. The milestone reflects the collective contribution of more than 750 employees worldwide, and highlights how ‘giving back’ continues to strengthen collaboration and camaraderie across LotusWorks.”
In 2025, employees raised €13,000, the highest annual employee contributions to date. The remaining funds came from employee initiatives and events that supplemented the company donation. This achievement showcases the collective effort of the 750+ LotusWorkers employees.
Reflecting on the donation, Conor Stone, Corporate Partnerships Officer, Make-A-Wish Ireland said: “It was a delight to visit the LotusWorks team in Sligo to celebrate the amazing achievement of raising €25,000 for Make-A-Wish Ireland and Make-A-Wish USA last year. It’s a tremendous achievement to help us to grant 229 wishes in 2025. I am delighted to share that we will be working together in 2026 to grant even more wishes than ever before.”
In 2025, employees led a series of fundraising activities. These included Seasonal Bumper Raffles, abseiling from Croke Park, the Walk for Wishes initiative, Halloween “Wear What You Wish” Day, Christmas Jumper Day, and a Theme Park Family Fun Day in Emerald Park. Through these events, employees will continue to support Make-A-Wish and make a lasting impact.
LotusWorks’ U.S. operates in 14 states including a large base in Arizona, where Make-A-Wish was originally founded in Phoenix in 1980. The organisation aims to build stronger relationships with Make-A-Wish chapters globally. Looking ahead, LotusWorks is focused on deepening its impact, ensuring that its fundraising efforts remain a meaningful and enduring part of its wider commitment to community engagement.
