2 May , 2025

All Pipe Systems (APS) Ltd is a one-stop shop for all your industrial and domestic heating and plumbing and workshop fabrication needs. Operating from their new premises in Kiltegan near Baltinglass in Co. Wicklow, the family business has earned an enviable reputation for quality workmanship, attention to detail, value-for-money and exceptional customer service.

Both plumbers by trade, brothers Paul and Ciaran Lancaster founded APS in 2003 with the aim of bringing unrivalled mechanical services installations to the construction industry. Fast-forward 22 years and the company has grown to provide a wide range of services to clients in Leinster and beyond.

Regular clients include Winthrop Technologies, Tritech Engineering, T Bourke, Nolan Construction, TEMEC Ltd, ESB, KWETB (Kildare and Wicklow Education and Training Board) Global Rail Services, Allen & Smyth Construction and many more. APS employs a 20-plus strong team of highly-skilled plumbers, fitters and coded welders who are all time-served tradespersons.

“We specialise in high-quality industrial and process pipework,” Paul says.

“We have a wealth of experience and pride ourselves in delivering first-class work on time and within budget. Our experience, knowledge and expertise are key to securing repeat business time and again.”

RGI, OFTEC and SEAI-registered, APS offers a complete mechanical services / installation package to its clients, including estimating – fixed price contracts, drawing production, programming and procurement schedules, site set-up, safety requirements, on-site supervision and installation, commissioning and maintenance packages.

Its mechanical team has many years of experience and provides installation services to a range of projects, including Data Centre pipework, district heating projects (rearranged) schools, hospitals, office fitouts. APS Ltd commercial and industrial services include heating and plumbing, oil and gas pipework, pipe services, compressed air pipework, maintenance and plant room fitouts.

The company’s domestic plumbing team provides a broad range of services, from new builds to upgrades on houses and apartments. Domestic services include plumbing and heating, underfloor heating and air-to-water heat pumps, gas and boiler replacements.

APS have recently relocated and doubled their workshop space. “There is a growing demand for off-site manufacture of fully prefabricated plant rooms within the construction sector,” Paul explains.

“We have seen a revolution of design and installation methods of mechanical systems. We have developed our systems to support this change as the benefits of plumbing prefabrication are substantial.

“Pre-fabrication encompasses the customised manufacturing of various assemblies like piping systems, valve sets, and fixtures according to project specifications. These pre-built components are then transported to the construction site for installation.

“We deliver highly-efficient and quality packaged plant rooms to each client’s specific requirement. We’re currently installing two in Dublin, one for Integer Holdings in New Ross and another in Tipperary. Our plant room solutions help to minimise onsite works and ensure a rapid build.”

APS Ltd also offers design and fabrication of carbon steel, stainless steel, copper and plastic pipework. In addition, it provides pump skids and modules as well as bespoke prefabricated plant rooms.

“Some projects stick out in your mind like the Central Bank on Spencer Dock back in 2016. We carried out all the plant room mechanical pipework for Winthrop Technologies,” Ciaran recalls.

“That was the point when you could see the industry really beginning to move forward with new progressive ways of carrying out business on all fronts. The technology and plumbing processes have really developed from then on. Our relationship with Winthrop Technologies spans 20 years and has seen us working across many projects, including data centres in Holland. The DUB 14 DATA Center for Winthrop Technologies in Grange Castle was also a fantastic project to be a part of.”

Overall, business is booming for APS Ltd who are currently working on several commercial and industrial projects. Last year was a very busy one which Paul and Ciaran put down to their longstanding relationships with their clients. The variety of work carried out also included mechanical services in large school renovations such as those carried at Good Counsel College New Ross and Dominican College Wicklow Town and Dart Stations

‘’This year has had a strong start again with current projects ranging from Rosslare Europort to Data Halls and various school projects across Leinster,” explains Paul.

Paul and Ciaran are full of praise for their staff.

“We have a great crew of plumbers, pipe fitters, welders and office personnel who have played a big part in our growth and success. We wouldn’t be where we are without them. We all embrace learning and whether it being upskilling or business workshops, APS Ltd are all for it.

“In the past few years, we have really embraced Lean Philosophy. Processes are now in place to maximise quality, efficiency and productivity. Digitalisation has been key in our strategy,” Paul adds.

As APS continues to go from strength to strength, the Lancaster brothers would like to take this opportunity to thank their clients and suppliers – who include Heatmerchants, Hevac, BSS (Ireland) and Alma Valves, Eurogas and Tricel – for their unwavering support, quality of products, as well as their staff for their hard work, dedication and expertise.
