Titan Roofing continues to lead the way

11 Mar , 2024

Offering the highest standard of roof consulting and contracting services, Titan Roofing Ltd. is an industry-leading, multi-award-winning installer of high-performance roofing systems for commercial, residential and industrial buildings. Director Stephen Kennedy provides Building Ireland with an update.

Since its inception in the summer of 2015, Titan Roofing has quickly established itself as one of Ireland’s premier roofing contractors and consultants, consistently delivering professional advice and services to architects, main contractors and facility management teams alike.

Titan Roofing invariably provides the highest standard of roof system installation for each project, including not just design and installation but also covering fall arrest and roof access equipment. Boasting extensive experience of cool & green roofing to meet LEED requirements, founders Keith Proudfoot and Stephen Kennedy and their experienced, professional team pride themselves on finding and implementing the optimal solution for every project.

A one-size-fits-all approach will simply not work with roofing. To the contrary, bespoke solutions are requited for each specific task and Titan Roofing aims to assist with the selection of an appropriate waterproofing system to suit exact building structure and client requirements, providing detailed specifications and site-specific working drawings.

Titan Roofing has an immaculate track record in the design and installation of torch-on bitumen membranes, PVC Membranes Liquid Coating’s and Zinc or Aluminium panels, whilst also having the appropriate resources to consult regarding building interfaces with the Roof or Wall Cladding waterproofing.

Value engineering whilst maintaining roof integrity and long-term performance requires specialist input. To this end, Titan can assist in achieving long-term, cost-effective solutions and maintenance programs to ensure the long life of a roof.

Their consultants have built up a large customer base and provide clients with roof condition reports and recommendations for weathering and upgrading of existing buildings. Previous reports have been provided to Dublin City Council and OPW government buildings, Dublin Airport Authority, UCD campus, DCU Campus, Blackrock Health, Aramark and more.

Delivering a complete roofing experience, Titan Roofing’s portfolio of completed projects for a who’s who of Tier One main contractors including Sisk, Bennetts, Twinlite, Montane, GEM, Glenbeigh, Marlet Group, etc., etc. is mightily impressive and regular repeat business with industry leaders has been the primary driver of the company’s steady growth over the past eight years and counting.

They are habitual award winners at the prestigious annual Irish Construction Industry Awards, and were once again successful in the most recent awards when they were named as the Subcontractor of the Year in 2023, and demand for Titan Roofing’s exceptional services continues to grow exponentially.

“We’re growing in response to rising demand, getting a lot of repeat business from valued customers and also picking up a certain number of new clients who want to work with us,” Stephen confirms. “We’re very busy at the moment, currently working on up to 18 decent-sized roofing and cladding projects, including Carriglea Phase II, Prussia Street Student Accommodation and St Joseph’s CNU in Ardee.

“At present, we have a direct team of 20 plus another 35 subcontractors. It’s not easy to get good staff but we’re very lucky to have an excellent crew there now. We’re predominantly covering Leinster, with the occasional job outside the province.”

While business is brisk and Titan Roofing’s reputation for excellence precedes them industry-wide, Stephen is acutely aware of the need to avoid complacency at all costs. Instead, the stated objective of the directors and their entire team is to consistently deliver roofing solutions that either meet or exceed client expectations:

“In our industry, the reality is that you are as good as the last job you completed. You must keep delivering, keep learning and keep improving. Of course, it’s always good to get your name out there and to be able to show off a few photos of what you’ve done in the past and to be able to namedrop this main contractor and that one, but everybody knows everybody in this industry. When you are working for the top main contractors, then people know you are good at what you do – but you have to keep delivering all the time.”

As for the key to the continued success of Titan Roofing, Stephen comments: “Trust. It all comes down to trust. People are placing their faith is us and they have confidence that we will get their roofing project resolved. We know what we’re doing and clients can depend on us to give them the best-possible design and installation service.”

In keeping with their status as industry leaders, Titan Roofing are no strangers to collecting major industry awards, including the aforementioned Irish Construction Industry Awards. Stephen is both humbled and honoured that they were once again successful at the 2023 ICI Awards night, which was staged in The Mansion House on Thursday, November 2nd:

“It’s nice to get your name out there and to get that little bit of recognition,” he concludes. “We’ll avail of the opportunity to feature a few projects and showcase who we are working with. Events like this keep your name in there and there’s always the chance that you might attract interest from some other developers and contractors.”
