United Hardware has announced the continued rollout of its new Homevalue concept store format, with stores in Ardee, Co Louth and Clane, Co Kildare among the first to transition to the refreshed brand.
The new concept stores mark the beginning of a phased rollout across the Homevalue network, with 10 stores planned to rebrand in the first year, as part of a wider programme to strengthen the group’s national retail offering.
Homevalue is owned and operated by United Hardware on behalf of its members, with a network of over 88 independently owned stores nationwide, serving both trade professionals and household customers.
The refreshed concept centres on positioning Homevalue as “Trusted, Local, Experts”, reinforcing the group’s long-standing strengths while introducing a more modern, consistent and customer-focused retail experience.
The new store format includes updated layouts, clearer in-store navigation, and an improved balance between trade, DIY, home and garden categories, designed to better reflect evolving customer needs.
Paul Candon, CEO of United Hardware, said: “The rollout of the new Homevalue concept stores is a significant step forward for the business and for our members. It represents a major investment in the brand, ensuring we continue to evolve in line with customer expectations while maintaining the local, independent model that defines our network.
“By positioning Homevalue as Trusted, Local, Experts, we are building on what has always set our stores apart, while also creating a more consistent and modern experience across the network.”
The programme forms part of a broader strategy to strengthen Homevalue’s position as a distinctive national brand with strong local relevance, while continuing to build deeper connections with communities and reinforcing its authority in trade and DIY expertise.
The first wave of rebranded stores provides a working model for the wider rollout, with further locations expected to transition as the programme develops.
United Hardware supports its members through purchasing, marketing, logistics and business advisory services, including a central distribution facility based in Dublin.
