With the opening of their new Limerick depot, HSS Hire – the only nationwide tool hire company in Ireland – has now expanded their presence to 26 branches throughout Ireland. Ireland rugby superstar C J Stander cut the ribbon with Irish rugby legend Keith Wood in attendance.
With the continued growth in the construction sector reaching increased levels in Q1 of 2017, national hire chain HSS Hire has opened another new depot in Limerick on the Ballysimon Road. Munster, Ireland and British and Irish Lions rugby star C J Stander did the honours cutting the ribbon and officially declaring the new depot open. HSS Hire’s new premises is conveniently located in the Brooks Building at Hanover Business Park and is open from 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 8:00am to 1:00pm Saturdays.
The opening itself was a special day and there was a huge crowd in attendance to hear C J Stander talk about the recent victory in the 6 nations. Sporting the scars of war C J went on to answer questions from his enraptured audience about his life in Ireland, playing for Munster and his hopes for the upcoming Lions tour. He was highly complimentary of HSS’s new depot and spoke about the importance of companies like HSS Hire to the local community, both in terms of generating employment but also in providing support to the local economy and development businesses.
Also in attendance was another rugby legend, Keith Wood, and both he and C J are regular customers of HSS Hire in Limerick. Whether it’s a lawnmower on a sunny day or a dumper and digger for heavier work, C J and Keith know where to get the best range and value in Limerick!
Acting as chef d’équipe and MC for the opening, managing director of HSS Hire and Laois Hire Group, Michael Killeen was fulsome in his praise for the Limerick depot manager, Ger Punch, and his team for all the work they had put in to developing the brand in Limerick over the years and for the exemplary official opening ceremony itself. “Limerick has been a vital cog in the success story that is HSS and Laois Hire Group’s continued expansion over the past five or six years, even in the teeth of an enormous recession,” said Michael.
“Ger and his staff have developed and maintained key customer relationships over those years and their attention to detail and commitment to our customers has rightly earned them the plaudits they have gotten here today.”
Commenting further of the new Limerick depot Michael went on to say; “The construction industry in Limerick has been resurgent in recent years and this has been reflected in our own trading figures which are currently up over 35% on last year. There are a number of key infrastructural projects on the go and in the pipeline that we are delighted to be associated with. Companies such as Kirby Engineering & Construction, BAM, Sisk, and Mercury for example are all involved in local development projects and they are all part of HSS Hire’s progressive list of customers.
“As a market leader, HSS Hire and Laois Hire Group’s nationwide reach and dedicated customer service have secured the Irish agencies for top brands such as CompAir compressors, Western Global tanks, Selwood pumps Husqvarna,” added Michael. “This, along with their dedicated divisions in pumping, variable messaging solutions
(VMS), powered access, site welfare, road traffic management and generators allow HSS and Laois Hire Group cover the needs of their huge customer network, from the day they enter a site until the day they leave it.”
